Get ready for study

I was up and headed into Dose at 8.  I did get a plastic table cloth to make into 6 inch square vase covers.  Hope it works.  The flower gardens are weedy.  Hope I can get to them sometime, maybe Saturday, kinda depressing because it seems they are doing so poorly.  Nice bunch at study: SG,SG,TP,RT, MKR,LS, JP, Afterwards Denny took a nap, I went to Jensens to watch them pack.  They came for supper: Kathi's pizza casserole, and asparagus and desserts.  I called Janice B. to invite her to use the wisteria for a photo shoot with her daughter, Alma Devine.  The wisteria came from Alma's home.  So pretty.

Ordering new glasses

I headed into the OGT.  Missy came about 8:30 and we took a quick tour.  We met Mandy in Holstein.  On the way I called and got an earlier appointment,  so they dropped me off at Eye Mart.   Dr. gave me a thorough exam.  He took a picture of my inner eyes and said I must take eye vitamins twice a day, every day for the rest of my life to stop the macular degeneration.  After helping me pick out frames we ate at Mister Chop Stix.  Then some thrift shopping.   The best place was Salvation Army in South SC.  $1 sale on all clothes.  Really a nice time with my daughters.  AND Jack, he was a trooper, so cute.  Tiefenthallers was really busy so Mandy headed north, Missy went for gas, and I got Denny's order.  Denny was recooperating all day.  Brooks came over and they guys looked at and took pictures flies, trying to figure out how their eyes worked.

Monday at rest

Wow, I slept until 9.  I have had an ear ache and Mandy suggested I take some allergy medicine.  I didn't see any benadryl and so I took a couple of other pills.  I guess that plus I needed the sleep.  Denny was up before me.  He walked to the end of the drive way in the morning and in the afternoon.  I finished cleaning the airbnb and mowing the yard.  Kathi brought supper for us.  That is so kind.  There are lots of weeds and I pulled out some of them out of the flowers.  The airbnbers came about 5.  They have a wedding at Nelson park this weekend.  Denny was so pleased with the grass that was growing in the past vegetable garden/ present soccer field.  Pictures of Saturday Soccer  It was so much fun to watch them:

Enjoy family ... Yes!!!

Luke &Karen were in charge of breakfast.  Assorted bagels and cream cheese.  Plus left over egg casserole, fruit,  and remaining chilled asparagus.  Jennifer came in the am and took family pictures.  It will be fun to see how they turn out.   She even took some pictures of kids on the zip line. Jensens served lunch: Red wattle ham roast, potato salad, watermelon, green salad,  YUM!  Jensens were headed to camp with Evan and Anabel and then to meet Laurie for a Brooks visit.   Right when all the family was leaving our home Denny's brother Gary stopped for a short visit.  After he left we started the dishwasher and then laid down for naps.  I got up and started putting the place back into shape.  Upstairs, on the deck, and airbnb.  At dusk Denny looked at the Grass hopper and we put oil in it, I mowed until dusk.

Saturday June 2

Mandy and Jason fixed egg casserole and fruit for breakfast. Dad called about 9:30 saying that the Dr. said he could go home.   I headed to SC to get him.  We got home a little before 2, his tummy really wasn't feeling very good and he went to bed.  Kids kept busy crossing off a list of activities they had made.  Luke, Jason, Haley, Sadie and Rose went for a run.  Most played soccer.  Kids went and played, "Up a Creek" at the culvert. The zip line was moved from Jensen's to our grove.   Becky and Matt fixed wrap lunch and spaghetti supper that we ate on the deck.  Rose danced to Luke's speaker box, "Shake it off".  At dusk Matt built a great fire, and most played Kick the Can.
