Something I have always wanted to do....

Nice sleep.  Showered and started my day.  I delivered some iPad covers to school and finished reading the book by Wendell Berry, Hannah Coulter at Create.  At home I started on editing the I heart memories. SOMETHING I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO.  It takes a while, but I had time.  Anabel and I walked to team gathering.  The way home was muddy on her nice white nikes.  Nice supper with Naugaland foods.  Missy and Renae picked flowers at my garden.

I volunteered at school

Slept until 6:30.  I got a text from Nerida that they could us me in 5th grade, Autumn's class.  The day went well.  Both the TA who taught the class and I thought so.   I think that is the longest I've worn shoes with toes since 8 years ago when I stopped teaching.  But I survived.  After school we chilled for an hour and then went to the gym.  My PT gals would be so proud of me using my sore shoulder and stretching it out,

First day of school

Up and talking to Denny at 5.   Miss him and the farm.  Anabel ran before school.  We had breakfast, I am sitting at Create having coffee before I head to KISC and meet with Nerida.  We met for about 30 minutes, she is putting my availability out for staff to sign up.  Hope I get to help there.  I start next week helping with swimming on Mon, Wed, Fri.  for about an hour.  ON the way home I got Matcha coffee at the porch.   I'm now sitting outside pondering if I can put videos together.  Uffda!! Lord, guide me.  Make my time spent here profitable.

first 24 hours in Kathmandu

I slept until 5, mosied around and then called Denny.  Lukes and Missy's were there.  Denny went to a car show in Galva, kids worked on a water feature in the campground.  Denny once again won a trophy first 30 out of 62 cars.  Anabel and I showered, ate scrambled eggs and walked around civil homes and then stopped and got groceries/ fruits and vegetables.  I'm outside catching up on my blog.

And we land in Nepal

Let's see, we left Oryn lounge about midnight and headed to C2 gate.  Then we found out our departure gate was C 82 and so we headed there.  Doha to Kathmandu 4-10:30.  We had very helpful person to run the kiev for the application for a visa.  90 days=$125.  We got the the right baggage carrousel and got our 5 big heavy bags.  It was kinda humorous getting the bags in the little car, but Bibek got it done and we were off into Kathmandu.  Know by me for population, poverty, pollution and power lines.   47 hours after we left the farm we arrived at Jensens in Nepal.  Thank you, Jesus.  Anabel ordered momos for lunch,  Kristi is bringing pizza for supper.  We got groceries at Salesberry, ate pizza, and headed to bed.

Happy to be here ...............

En route

Not really sure of when one day ended and the next one started.  Some praises from the travel: At Omaha after saying we would need to pay $250 times 2 for our third checked bag Even tho our tickets said Anabel and I were allowed 3  checked bags Uffda!!! We moved sway from the counter and started relocating things into only4 checked bags.   The ticket lady came and told us that if we could rearrange and load the 4 suitcases, the fish one was free.  Thank You Jesus.  That was the biggest complication of the whole trip.  Omaha to Seattle.  The guys are working on the drop ceiling in the basement bathroom  Amazing!!  Denny put the electrical lines for the 2 -2x2 lights.  `

AND WE'RE off!!

Started the day by leaving the farm at 2 am.  When we got to Alaska Airlines they said we would have to pay for the third bag.  First, no make that second answered prayer. (First was a safe arrival to the Omaha airport.)   If we got stuff into  5 instead of 6 bags they would not charge for the extra bag.   Thank you, Jesus. "
