Slow morning. Walking on egg shells, Denny brought the smoked meat into the house and cut it up. We cleaned the bunk house. Uffda!! It was a lot of work. We spent a lot of time looking to use a different rug on the floor, but in the end decided against it. At 4:30 I headed to IG for the FCA BBQ. I am not sure what/ where to put my soil blocks of flowers. Uffda!! Lord, guide me. I left about 4:30 for hamburgers/hotdogs for CSA. Lord, guide me as I meet for CSA huddle with softball athletes.
I headed to IG about 7:30. Helped at OGT, played PB 8-9, Then back to OGT. AT 11 I drove to Cherokee. I spent Mandy's noon break visiting with her. Back to New Leaf. I picked up the boys at school and we went to Grandma Jan's. They leave for Arizona on Wednesday. Back at Cooks we played Monopoly Junior. Mandy sent home a great meal for us. Denny s tarted smoking and during the night had to go to the CSA barn and tend it. Bunnies are chomping on my lisianthus. Uffda!
We headed into IG for Denny's orthodontic appointment. He got shots in his shoulders and started making plans for a shoulder replacement later this fall. We came home and I sorted thru papers that have piled up while we were in Texas. Missy sent pictures of a wedding reception that they Napalee dressed.
I put together these spring flowers to take to church. It was good to see Jean J with Andy there. We went to Omelet brunch after church. Naps and catch up on blog in the afternoon.

Denny went to living room around 3. He was up with his cough. He got an appointment to get some medicine for his cough. I put some plugs into soil blocks. It is cold and rainy and it will be a while until the soil is dry enough to plant. Uffda!!! Hopefully this will help them get into the ground better than from the tiny plugs. I went to study in the car after Denny's dr. appointment. God continue to bless BSF.
I was up and had devo. Through out the day I made soil blocks, I looked at my lisi behind the bunk house which bunnies had eaten. Got a nice text from Kathy R. and in the afternoon, Denny and I cleaned the granary cabin. Uffda!! That is work. 2 of us 3-4 hours. After a break on the rocking porch, we put magnetic screens on 2 doors of the sunroom. Uuffa!! Denny thinks it is not as good as the screen in Texas. So there's that. Grilled philly cheese brats and green beans. Wonderful meal.
I was home all day. I made soil blocks. We cleaned the granary cabin. Lots of Asian beetles. Denny put the magnetic screens on the 2 doors of the sunroom. He shot a bunny and a ground hog yesterday while I was at Cherokee. Keep the varmit population down.
I headed to OGT. Then I stopped by Carol R. to get some cat poop to keep ground hogs away. to volunteer at New Leaf. I picked up the boys after school and we went to the skate park. Jan came home from an appointment in SC and met us at the skate park. Mandy sent great meal home for Denny and I to share for supper. AT home Denny got the water going in the granary cabin.
I gave the plant in the sunroom haircuts and moved them outside. They look pretty good. I made about 4 trays of soil blocks for the lisianthus that are headed my way. Denny and I worked on cleaning the bunk house today. He sprayed out the water tank. UFFDA!!! lots of Asian beetles. We ate in the coop and dreamed of what might be.
We went to church early for visiting. Then to Galva to eat with Cooks. At home we chilled / napped and finished off leftover pizza.
I listened to recap while I heard boys and Denny getting breakfast. I moved slowly around. Denny headed out to drive tractor for Larsons, The boys and I watched The Hill before fixing lunch and playing outside. (wa wa waaa ...I have so little energy. I feel like I could take a nap anytime. My left knee has been hurting since I got home from Texas. I guess it is time for another cortisone shit in my knee.) Jack and Tyler fixed Mac and cheese and chocolate milk for lunch. We went outside before heading to Holstein where Jason picked up the boys. I filled the car with gas, got milk and Casey's pizza. Denny was home and we loved the pizza. Naps, and time chilling in the sunroom, and watching tv. I like the Bird of Paradise bloom I brought to Iowa from Texas. Janice J from Schleswig gave her poem to those of us who volunteer at OGT>
So good to have the boys at the farm. Denny fixed them eggs and bacon for breakfast. Denny worked for Larsons. We were out most of the day. They played on sand table, rode scooters on driveway, I was saddened to have an animal dump out the bulbs I had put in 2 large pots. We explored across the road. I fixed meatballs for supper, Tyler cut open the salad bag, but didn't want to eat it at supper/bath time. Fun day with the boys. They spent a lot of time trying to remove a log from the stream. I am blessed. Good Friday.
I was around in th morning, planting lisianthus. They look really poorl, but they are in the ground I went into suassan's for Bible study I left at 2:30 to get boys in Cherokee. After school we took the space outfit I had gotten at Black Friday to Sanford Museum. They filled out paperwork for donations. We stopped at the skate park with their scooters. Jason had fixed scrambled eggs and fruit or supper. YUM!! We took some eggs home for Denny.
I spent the day at home The main hard job was planting lisisanthus They look ike the watering of them has been wrong and they have fusarium. Lord, Please help them get healthy. I would work for a while, sit and rest, Then fill the water jugs and plant the colidium Around 6 I showered and headed to church. Denny didn't get home for another hour
I headed to OGT with my pickleball bag. It was a great morning. I helped and then played pickleball from 9-10 and then went back. When I got home mainly I put stuff away. Denny had been working on emptying suitcases all day. Not a very interesting day. BUT WE'RE HOME.
We had breakfast at the Hampton at Sturgis, Ok, then coffee at Starbucks, and we were on our way. 455 miles=10 hours??? ( The box said 7 hours 30 minutes,) We left at 8:10. On our travels yesterday we started at 6:15, arrived in Guthrie at 7:20. equals 13 hours. The box said it was a 10 hour drive, so there's that ... a 13 hour trip yesterday. So good to be home. In the sunroom the plants look ok. I went out and walked around the yard for a quick look before dark. We ate our amazing left overs from last night.
We were u and down the road about 6:30. Stopping at Starbucks. Matt posted an Elk River volunteer. notice. We took an unusual way home, just following the Box.
I was up for PB. Sadly it seems I am not improving. Uffda!! I can still enjoy playing. At 8:45 I to Mary and Gary to Black Friday. I got a pretty cutting board, a set of sheets, a stool for seating, and one more thing. I do't remember. Denny has started getting ready to packing, yup we are starting to pack up It looks like it all should fit. Yes!! Now we sit at 4 pm, just looking at our phones and chilling with almost everything done. Even unto the Starbucks order and grazing on chips, cheese and opened packages. We had a great visit with Luke, He is headed to Las Vegas for a Bushmaster.
