I slept until 6 showered and was in IG for an hour of pickleball.  Next to Cooks, boys and I volunteered at Alta Olive Branch.  Next playground at Alta school, then Storm Lake Beach.  Headed to Jan’s at 3.  VBS at 4:45.  great day!!!  At home Denny was cleaning the sunroom carpet.  AND not having success.  Uffda!!!

Fort Dodge

 I carried 2bouquets to tge house so Denny could bring with him to Fort Dodge.  I volunteered at Orphan GTand met Denny in Arthur afterwards.  We returned a golf bag and 1retrever.  The boys had picked out a bag and retriever.  we got to the restaurant at 11. .  Great to visit with Charlie, Ann, Steve, and Sherry.  Before heading home we made a Walmart stop for the right cleaning prouducts to get the stains out!!! Uffda!!!. Denny worked on it all afternoon, saying I shouldbe doing this on my hands and knees.

Golf

 I was up

And playing pickleball with Dave F. Before heading to Cherokee for Keenagers.  I sold 1/5 bouquets, after lunch I went to get boys.  We drove Andrea’s cart and they got about 25 balls.  At home they put on shorts, we took the cart keys and flowers to the office to tell Rich thank you. Then we went to New Leaf before VBS.  It looked like a fun week. At home Denny was tackling the dirty sunroom carpet, without success on the 3big spots.  Uffda!!!  Nice night in the bunkhouse.  

Japan report

 I took flowers to church uesterday for the front. After church and SS nap, workd cup, put together red white and blue flowers for golf tomorrow.  Made green beans for 6pm pot luck. After the potluck the Japanese reported on their trip to challenge.

Pick up Anabel after challenge

 Didn’t sleep well. Came to the house for devo and back to bed until Jean started sister call.  Watered and weeded flower garden.  Went to Paul R for golf things for boys.  Back home to shower and nap before heading to get Anabel. We drove her from Arthur to Ames.  She visited a while in the car and then lay down/napped.  We had pizza at Laurie and Alan’s. We made a Walmart run before heading home. Zurbreggens were at Alan's.  Cooks had a swim meet at Humbolt.  

Early PB

 I left at 7 to play PB.  Nice time.  At home Missy was working on school.  Phillip went on a bike ride, Denny and Brooks finished up tasks. 

Study & out to eat

 It was a great morning with Missy visiting with us on the porch.  I spent time just with Missy.  It was nice.  At 1 we went into IG.  Missy ate lunch with Renae, I went to Susan’s for study. After study we looked for DG gum for KISC, but weren’t in luck.  At 5 we went with Raabs and Bergmans to the Fireside.  Great meal, fun company.  Thank you, Jesus.

Olive Branch

 I slept in house ‘cause Jack and Tyler were in computer room.  When they got up we ate Denny’s breakfast and we played Mexican Trains.  Missy was up with an 8 am phone call.  I left for Alta and Dad went to shower.  They kept me busy at OB putting designer clothes on the rack.  I called on the way home, Missy and boys were loading up to spend the afternoon at Cherokee until the glow run.  I had hoped they would wait for me.  I had to drive the Rav home so Phillip could get old changed in Carroll.  Brooks was spraying off the coop roof.  Denny and I returned the rental cherry Picker.  Phillip bought pork chops for those of us at the farm.  Denny washed the pickup.

Chris / Karen arrive

 Finish Washing bedding. Denny started smoking ribs for supper.  I made coleslaw and cleaned up kitchen area.  I think I went into OGT, but it is now the 24th of July and I am trying tot catch up my blog AND I am really nit sure what I did.  The Nepalee family that stayed overnight were very good friends of Brooks,  He played BB with the younger son and the older son graduated with Anabel.  We ate under the pine trees. The dad played Missy's saxophone on the patio.  Pretty cool.  After they left Denny and Brooks went to Storm Lake and rented a cherry picker to trim trees.  

Trimming trees

I made cream cheese coffee cake. Denny was up at 7 to make breakfast for the guests.  (Who didn’t leave until 10).  I went in to play2games of Pickleball. Then I went to OGT. I drove to Cherokee and brought the biys to the farm.  At home Missy and Phillip were going to Wall Lake.  Phillip to ride bike, Missy was meeting Kathi to visit.  Denny and Brooks had gone to Storm Lake to rent a lift for trimming tree branches.  They were busy trimming.  We had mac and cheese and leftover s for supper,

SS presentation

 I was up and made coffee and got flowers ready for church.  Matt’s family left about 8. Dad had gone to take a shower after fixing eggs snd bacon for all.  Luke and family left after Jensens had their SS talk. Cooks came back to the home and we had leftovers.  AND a sweet quiet time visiting with Jensens in the sunroom as kids played outside. 

Johnson family weekend

 The 4mile  section run started around 8.  Mandy and Matt walked, Missy, Anabel Haley ran, Brooks and Jason really ran. I rode the 4wheeler with Wyatt, Tyler and Jack.  Lukes family slept. The egg casserole went in after the section run.great meal Pete,Ludemila and Danyel came as we were heading into IG park.  We played Pickleball-3 on 3- splashpad and picnic at the city park.   About 4hours worth. The slash pad was a hit!! Jensens fixed brats pasta salad and roasted broccoli PLUS banana splits BIRTHDay treats.  Everyone filled out an order what you wanted and the granddaughter fixed it. Everyone had to nswer around the table high-low-buffalo. Thank you, Jesus for this family that you have blessed us with.

Family arrive. Friday

 I played golf with Renae, Missy  Brooks, and Leo @8.  Boys vs girls. Tied on our score. I made a few shots. It was the first time Brooks played and he did well. Denny started smoking the brisket to eat tonight last night.   Luke and Karen+  got here first. Then Cooks pulled in with their RV.  It was a sweet time just sitting and visiting in the camp ground by the cabin with 6 adults.  Matt, Haley and Wyatt arrived.  Becky Kane, Torren and Evan didn’t come.  Mandy brought corn on the cob that we cooked on grill burner. Brisket, kettle bread, Coleslaw and corn.  Luke had his lemonaide. We all sat around pine tree tables. For dessert peanut butter bars. Kids played ghosts and dragons???? Nice visiting. Matt posted a Google docs that showed a place for everyone to sleep and assigned meals.   Lots of frogs were caught, kept, let go, and loved.  

Farmers Market. FCA

 I was up did my Thursday study and worked on a picture for FCA softball team with verses.  Laura called and I put together 2 tea pots with flowers for a 5 year old tea party.  I loaded flowers for farmers market.  I stopped to get pictures printed, then ordered paint from Trisha for 2 bedside tables with baskets  dropped off Laura’s flowers. Set up a table to hold my spot at the FM.  I left the car running at study, i went to the HS to huddle with softball 3some -Brook-Tenley-and Jenessa. I gave out pictures to the team and captains. Sweet Mary Kay R sat with me during FM.  I went from there to home (to put remaining flowers in the cooler). Before I left the FM I talked a vender into bartering with me for a pretty Blue sweat pants ($50 plus 2 flowers.  I headed to meet Denny at Lakeview SSPicnic.  Full day

No knee shot Wed

 In the morning I was Putting flowers together for Farmers Market.  It was so beautiful I called Nikki and invited her to come and play with the flowers    Surprisingly she came !!! She made a couple of arrangements for her mom and for a neighbor 

I went in to IG to get a cortisone shot in my knee, but upon discussion with Dr V I’m not hurting that much … so I’ll wait and get a shot before heading to Texas.

Alta and Medicare

 Well, I woke up thinking about flowers AND then tried to remember if I had shut off the hydrant on the south side of the CSA.  SO at 4:15 I went out to check ... NOPE!!!  No excuse. Just didn't get it shut off forgot!!I stayed up, had devo, drove to Alta, worked until 10:30 and then headed to IG to see Dr. Veltri for my annual medicate physical.  Jensen came to the Olive Branch about 10:15.  Jill was so kind to let them get anything they could use.  My Dr. appointment went well.  He said I am a  doing a pretty good job taking care of myself.  We talked about my lack of good sleep and he gave me a prescription I could try.  Zo ... something.  At home Denny and Brooks were cleaning up the tree branches from the tree by the swing set AND getting a dead rabbit from under that deck. I watered my flowers  .... with a timer on my phone to prevent forgetting to shut it off.  Anabel and Missy ordered things she needs for college.  Anabel is spending the night with Sophi.  Brooks is going to Logan's. Home and chilling

 I was up and did devo them back to bed until 7:30.  Brooks +2 went in to shoot baskets and run a mile for time on the trail 5:40 Renae and Missy went for a walk, I put together flowers for Renae.   Denny used his expertise and cut down the big dead tree.  Uffda!!! I prayed a lot!!  "I still GOT it!!!" was his exclamation!!   Anabel took a great picture of trees on Lake Superior.  

                                             

Happy birthday jack!!!

 We are so happy to have a 9 year old grandson!!!  We love the way you care for people and show them God's love.  

I headed to Omaha at 6, made it to CoramDeo Church for the 8 service.  Jensens had a nice 3 minutes life in Nepal summary.  I made a quick trip to Trader Joes between the first 2 services and then after their talk at second service I went to Candlewood to hear Rory and hang with Kathy.  It was a great short visit.  Home by 2:30.  Jensens made it back around 4.  I had made flowers to share with Joie, Nancy R. and Kathy W. 

Happy Fourth of July!!!

I was up for devo and to make egg casserole.  Evan's flight got canceled and so they could help with water bottle distribution at the parade.  Then Evan, Missy and Phillip  headed to Omaha to catch a flight for Evan to get back to Washington DC. (which was canceled and he ended up staying with Jensens in their motel provided by CoramDeo. I filled cloth bags with 6 water bottles and the rest of them passed the water into the crowd.  After the parade we came home to chill, naps and then Denny and Brooks mowed.  I ordered Casey's pizza which we took to BC.  First time being redneck fireworks watchers from lawn chairs in the truck bed.  Then we sat on sheets on the BS hill.  Amazing fireworks!!! 25 minutes of continuous beautiful bombs bursting in air.  It took a while to get out of the parking lot, so we just sat in the back and watched the cars inch their way out to the road.  Brooks like to shoot rabbits  $5

Storm during the night.

 I slept thru the storm, but only slept less than 4 hours.  I got up and just was alive.  Most got up around 9 and Denny fixed breakfast. Anabel fixed Denny and I iced coffee.   I ran over to Cathy''s and bought $15 - 12 annuals.  Jensens went into Ig rec center and I went to pull weeds.  I showered and Denny fixed picked eggs.  We grilled hamburgers and had cottage cheese chop suey.  Mark and Lauren had their baby girl.
