Study. Get boys

 Shower, devo, DAB, prayer.  Rodd was going someplace and so Denny and I went to SC.  He got a haircut, I got Mr. StirFry.  There were 9 of us at study with Peggy, Pat, Pam,Teresa, Susan,Judy Darlene and me.  I drover to Cherokee to get boys.  Jack did n[t have football practice.  Denny went to Rodds after we got back from SC.  Good to have the boys here.  Denny is kinda frustrated that the car isn't getting done unless he is there.  Lord, help.

Home.

 Slow morning. I love time with Denny.  He left for Rodd's about 9 and was there until 6.  I kinda kept busy with digging holes for tulips (that are coming sometime). Hopefully before the freeze.  I sorted 2 totes in the siairway closest.  I listened to the lecture and notes for my Zoom BSF.  I straightened up in the CSA barn.

OGT. nak's

 I headed to Ogt and Denny got breakfast pizza for the Old men's herapy, group.  At OGT they were loading out a shipping to the Republic of Georgia.  AT 11 I picked up pizza at Casey's and headed to Willow Datle BC.  Meg, Miki, and Joel brought Lois their g'ma to the activity room.   It was really nice to catch up on their lives.  Denny was at Rodd's. He helped put the hoist together. and was not surprised that nothing had been done since his last visit.  At least working on the hoist made it seem like it was something that would help get his car closer to the goal.  At home we watched an angel movie Indivisible.   True story 2007.  Great movie!!

Alta. Cherokee

I was up for DAB, and headed to Alta around 9.  Denny drove tractor for Larsons.  6 cans of white spray paint for 59 cents.  I'll use them to paint the stand  for bunk house porch that I got at OB white.  At 2 I headed to Cherokee and took a nap at Mandy's they got back from Minnisota just in time for the soccer game.  Boy was it cold.  Uffda!!!  At home Denny did his last work for Larsons for a while.  

Bergman's over

 Up at 5 devo, coffee, Work on SS lesson.  Church and SS and naps and getting ready for Bergman's for supper.  We had such a nice time.  Only bad part was the biting bugs as we tried to sit outside.  What good friends.  

Cleaned Prairie Whole

 Denny's pain is less, that's good. He went to drive tractor for Larson's.   I went into town to get my lisinipryl about 10 and groceries.  I spent most of afternoon in the basement, reading, washing bedding, cleaning, sorting thru tubs in the stairway closet.  AND trying to figure out is I indeed did buy another 150 tulips.  YUP I guess I did in March and failed to remember it.  Uffda!! Home place Airbnb'ers are headed to a Dausel wedding this afternoon.  Hubers left. after Renae gave them a quick tour of bunkhouse and cabin.    Cooks + ran a 10 K in Cable Wisconsin.  Markey saw that the egress windows are a good place for snacks.  Uffda!! Lord, just don't let them into the house.  Lincoln like the short video I sent them.  

Home

 Coffee,  devo Denny left to drive tractor.  I had zoom BSF at noon.  it is tricky for me to get zoomed in.  I just keep pressing buttons until it works, but IO have no idea how???  I tried to call Anabel, but she was in a Chem test, Then I went to mow the lawn and missed her call.  When I called her back she was with friends and waiting for Cooks to arrive.   I worked in garden today.  I dug up grass around my Hydrangeas and put clod of grass over by under road ditch and light pole west of road.  The road trip for Cooks/Anabel and Sienna is on.  Cooks were working until noon, picking up Jan and boys at 1, heading to Northfield to get Anabel and then to airport to get Sienna.  (She is a good friend of Anabel, who moved from Nepal their Junior year and they haven't been together since then.) Then to Cable Wisconsin.   Thank you Jesus for working this encouragement out.    Denny came home with very sore muscles around his ribs.  He did not sleep well.   Hubers' children got a ride on the big tractor Denny drives.

Denny left to work for Larsons.  I had a dentist appointment at 10.  I got a few groceries.  We have Airbnb Prairie Whole guests.   We had several fraud charges on our Credit card.  Uffda!!  Denny will look into it tomorrow.  I met Peggy W. and we went to study together.  We celebrated Susaan's 77th birthday.  So great to visit around the table. At home I fixed burgers and onion cheese for supper.  The Airbnb seem really nice.  3 kids that seem to love our place.  I gave them marshmallows and started the fire pit.  Lots of dust with all the combining going on.  I worked on getting the wedding dress on the dress form

Farmer Denny

 I haven['t been sleeping well from 2 when I get up to see RR until 5.  I just lay awake and pray, but don't sleep.  Uffda!!!Up at 5 for devo, coffee.  Denny left about 7 to mow for Larsons.  I tilled clay garden.  Mowed some of flower areas.  Got the mower plugged.  Prayed and cut away at the carpet.  Uffda!!! I made a trench for Tulips when they come.  Tilled and planted daffodils.  Clean 2 chairs and put them in the bunk house and took 2 more chairs down to Praiie Whole.  

OGT

 Denny spent his last day helping Rodd.  I went to OGT, I was honored Peggy brought a prayer concern to me.   After OGT I paid for the shirt that I took from hospital gift shop.  When I got home I moved chairs from pine tree dining room and took the carpets to the clay garden.   I sorted sea glass and put in the CSA.  Denny got Home and we chilled on the patio and grilled steaks . Another nice night.  Nice phone call from Missy.  They would like to have the Home place available over Christmas.  I looked in photo albums for answers for water picture of cousins. 

Alta - Cherokee

 Kinda slow am.  I headed to Alta around 9:30 and volunteered until 2:30.  The boys and I went to Monterey for French fries, There was a screen to watch skate board races.  Fries were too hot for Jack and not salty enough.  He gave them only a 3 rating.   Denny went to Rodd's. He also got a call from Curtis to work for fun money.  Boys had a soccer game that Denny came about halftime of Jack's.  Fun to watch those boys.  there was pajama day at Missy's school.  3 silk pjs from Olive Branch or OGT.

Heading home

 We got up around 8,aand had to keep moving so we were ready when Justine and girls came to pick us up.   Tod dand Julia had a wonderful breakfast for us.  We headed back to Iowa around 11 30 and got to Atlantic around 5.  I headed back to the farm.  Nice visit with Nancy.  

Great weather Outside!!!

Sister phone call at 7.  I walked to bargain bins and bought a plaid shirt, jeans and blue top.  Beautiful day!!  The family had lots going on. Dad and Cooks to watch football, Phillip to see camels in the village, Luke's to harvest at arboretum,   Missy cultural day at school.  Wyatt and Haley in their home.  Nancy and I watched/napped football.   We had brats and sweet corn and avocado salad for supper.  I worked on catching up on mh blog. Matt and Becky went to Anabel's college for family day.  So kind of them.  

Arrived in Madison

 I didn't sleep well last night.  Mostly thinking about Thanksgiving/ Jan 1/2.  We left for Madison around 7:40 and got here around 1:45. I called Anabel at 11 and had our BSF zoom at noon.   There was a cool plume grass plant outside of Nancy's and when a guy came and was cutting it down.  I took some of then plumes.  Pretty exciting.  Me harvesting plumbs.  Uffda!!  We napped and had amazing tempura for supper.  We watched some tv before going to bed.  Denny said he went to Rodds and they got quite a bit done.  Denny was happy.  

Heading to Atlantic

Devo, coffee ,and off to Carroll.  I thrifted while the Prius was being serviced for 200,00 miles.  I got a Manican to put Great Grma's wedding dress on.  I got a tub for plants in the sunroom.  I headed to Atlantic and when I got there I took a nap.  I got 2 chairs half price so 2 for $3.  We ate at the golf course and then Gail and I went to play pickleball at the Y.  The family had a phone call at 7.  Missy and Phillip got plane tickets for Dec 21-Jan 8.  Kids talked about getting together in Minnesota on Jan 1&2.  Lord, guide our plans.  Let everything work out for Your glory.  Luke and Mandy said they can/ will plan on coming for Thanksgiving.  Matt said he could not know for sure with Haley and Wyatt (with Wyatt having 2 families and Matt and Becky and Torren (low man on police force) and Kane (BB games).  Lord, guide decisions. 

Rainy

 I can't remember what I did on Wednesday.  I thin kI was home and it was raining.  NOPE. Now I remember.  I went to Sioux City with Mandy all day!!! SO FUN!!!  She had a tooth appointment I had an eye appointment.  She was super happy about finding a gal who refinishes old buffet/dressers.  I was thinking I would stop and se Evie and Ben with new baby, but they had gone home, so I am gave some flowers for Mandy, and taking some for Nancy and Julia in Madison.  

Headed to Alta and Cherokee

 Slow morning.  I'm trying to catch up on my blog.  Denny is heading to Rodd's.  Rodd texted first last night.  The car took a while, so he didn't head to Bob's to put the tent away and he didn't get to Cherokee for the boys' soccer.  Fun day ahead!! I went to Alta, then get the boys after school. We did a taste test on French fries at Mc Donalds and then home before soccer.

Pickleball at 6

Church and SS.  I played PB at 5:30 and afterwards Denny met me at Knops    Great to visit around their fire with Bergmans.  Beautiful moon!!

Football rained out

 We had planned to watch Jack's football in Cherokee.  We stopped at Tiefentalers to bet steaks for when we have Mike and Brenda over and brats for tomorrow night.  We went to the field, but It was canceled.   We went to Cooks.  The boys were putting together a tough puzzle and riding the go-cart.  So fun.  We stopped in Holstein for groceries.  

Rainy day, but when Lahn Garden party .... NO RAIN!!!  Thank you Jesus.   We picked up Laura and took her to Paulsruds.  On the way home we texted and Nishhamura's and Nikki and they came for supper.  Such a great night of visiting.  

Happy Birthday Craig, yesterday!!!

There comes a time when you finally stop arguing with the mirror.  You stop counting the gray hairs and the wrinkles, stop worrying about the extra pounds around the middle, the scars that never quite faded, and all those little imperfections you once thought needed explaining.  And you realize something.  This body has carried you a long way.  These feet have walked beaches and hospital hallways, dance floors and funeral homes. These hands have held babies, steering wheels, cold beers, fishing poles, and the hands of people we weren’t ready to lose.  These eyes have watched sunsets that made us believe in something bigger. They’ve cried tears nobody saw. They’ve squinted into morning sunlight after nights we probably shouldn’t have survived.  And that heart?  That old battered thing has been broken, patched up, broken again, and somehow still keeps beating.  So maybe the goal was never to stay young.  Maybe the goal was to get used up. To spend ourselves on love and laughter. To collect scars and stories. To wear a few wrinkles around our eyes because we laughed hard enough to earn them.  We’ve been sold this strange idea that we’re supposed to spend our lives trying to look like we haven’t lived one.  Forget that.  Let the sun put another line on your face.  Let the years silver your hair.  Wear the swimsuit.  Take off your shirt.Dance barefoot.  Order dessert.  Jump in the ocean.  Kiss somebody like the ferry leaves in five minutes.  Because someday, sooner than any of us would like to admit, we’d give almost anything for one more ordinary Tuesday inside this imperfect body.  One more sunrise.  One more swim.  One more song on the radio with the windows down.  One more chance to tell somebody, “I love you.”  So love the skin you’re in.  Not because it’s perfect.  Because it’s yours.  Because every scar is a latitude and every wrinkle a longitude, and together they make the map of everywhere you’ve been.  And somewhere between the mistakes, the heartbreaks, the sunburns, the celebrations, the people who stayed, and the ones who sailed away, something beautiful happened.  You became you.  So pour something cold.  Find a patch of sunshine.  Turn the music up a little louder than necessary.  And raise a glass to the face staring back at you in the mirror.  It’s been one hell of a voyage.  And you’re still here.  That’s worth celebrating.

Last night Denny was having his watch alarm him about his fast heart rate about every 15 minutes.  Uffda!!!  Don't want anything to happen. to him.  He got bad news that something wrong was sent to Rodd which will put back working on the orange car..  Bummer.!!!

Carroll with Gail

 Devo shower, I left about 8:15 to head to Carroll to get the Prius serviced.  Gail joined me there and we went thrifting.  We ate Chinese at Hunan's. With Spanish speaking staff.  One more thrift store and then she headed back to Atlantic to go dancing in Creston tonight.  I headed home.  Denny is at Rodds's spraying off the engine.  Lord, guide our day.  Bob P needs help to put up the big tent.  After Denny got home we went to Paulsruds and helped put up the tent. Mandy and Kelsey were both in the Dementia walk soon Saturday in Storm Lake.
