Atlantice get together

 I woke early with lots to do.  Devo, Run to grocery stores for salad ingredients, 2 loads of clothes, cut up head of cabbage from Jane,  Make coleslaw dressing, make cottage cheese veg salad. We left for Atlantic around 9:30.  Fun time at Henderson's visiting with people from 4 Seasons.  Schrums, Bruce N, Jean and Bob, Donna and Wayne, Jackie, Mark and Pat, Mark P, Brad and Louise, Kathy and Johnny, Gene and Karla, Luge and Kit.  I think 231 in all,  We ate a great meal at Jackie's grand daughter The flour Mill.  The live music we came to listen to , canceled because of the rain, so we headed home.

Fishing and Home

 Bruce and I went to Dorchester to fish.  It was a longer than I anticipated drive, but worth the trip.  It was so pretty.   He caught and released 10 trout and then we headed home so he could go golfing at 8.  I left for home about 9:30.  I stopped at Prairie Peddlar and Jane and Jack gave me about 80 lisianthks.  Uffda!! Quite a nice gift.  

Golf and Visiting Marilyn

 I was awake and littering to devo in bed.  At 8 I met my brothers at Silvercrest for golf best ball.   Craig's goal was that we would shoot 4 under par, actually we just shot 3 under par AND we used one of my shots.   From there I played one game of pickleball with Bruce, Paul and Paula.  We came from behind and won.  I went to Wellington to meet Bev.  We had coffee with Aunt Mary and then drove to Ossian.  Well, we took the long way around and eventually drove to Ossian.  We had a nice visit with Marilyn.  She enjoyed when we read her short stories to her.  After we got back to Decorah we ate at Culvers.  The cashew chicken salad was SO good.  I made copies of the pictures of the senior girls.  I got a few frames at The Depot, and Olive Branch and Walmart The girls did not want to meet for th epictures.  At night Jane and I went to Silver creek and looked at mom'2 journals.  Then visited a little on their back patio with Bruce as I wondered how this hammock works.   

                                      

Fun day

I listened to devo in bed.  Craig and I visited and then I went to Keith's.  Anabel's group came about 10.  They rode to the pond on the back of Keith's pickup, unloaded his boards by his dock and then looked at the cabin.  They came back to Keith's and played in the shed.  I went back to Craigs and took a nap before going to Decorah.   Craig called to say he was headed to an Amish store north of Cresco.  I scurried home and hit was fun to look around and shop there.  Bent and expired nonperishable foods.  We headed to Barneys for a sandwich and to meet Mugs.  We ate and she and I visited for an hour after Craig, Keith,Jane, and Bruce left.  As she gave me a ride home I realized I forgot my glasses at Barneys, then my phone on the floor of Mug's car and watch at Jane's.  UFFDA!!!   I slept pretty good.  

Some to Nepal, Some to NE Iowa

 I was up and devo, and packing for Decorah.  I am headed to see my brothers in Decorah.  I volunteered at Olive Branch until 1:30, then headed to Ossian to visit Marilyn.  She is in a nice safe place.  The staff there seems very kind and understanding.  I headed to Decorah and spent the night with Craig.  I stopped at Keith's for a short visit.  Then to bed.  

Alta Church

 We slept terrible last night.  I was awake from 2 on.  Every 30 minutes Denny got a watch warning of high heart rate.  We chatgpt it.  Now that's just what I want to do.I got up and put the egg casserole in the oven to be ready by 7.  We left for Alta about 7:30.  Two nice church services at Summit.  I gave away flowers.  Mandy and Jason + and Laurie and Alan came to the second service.  We went to Pizza Ranch after the services.  Fun meal visiting.  The sisters went to a waterpark. We went to get cash and then  home.  Naps and start to fix some food for supper.  Dad fixed tilapia, after supper Brooks and Anabel went to see the farm sunset,  We visited around the table.   Uffda!!   Faith,  Bummer. 

Saturday at home with Jensens

A sister phone call woke me up. So good to hear about their lives. Gail had shoulder surgery on Tuesday,  Craig is still PT (pain and torture) rom knee surgery.  Arlen is planning a second knee surgery.  Nancy's circle is going out for lunch on Thursday.  Craig said that I could stay there.  I watched Missy pack bags for N.  Jensens reviewed and paid Anabel's college tuition. After lunch we were planning to go to the rec center, Mandy called and said they would be stopping.  We went into town and they worked out at the rec center.  Mandy was at the Forrest Frank concert in Kansas City with the boys and Ruby and Ruby's mom.  they didn't stop, but just headed home. We went to Dollar Gen and then home.  Denny has gone to Meen's get together.  We had pizza and watched a movie. 

Jensens back

 Up for devo in the house.  Nice brief rain during the night.  I put together flowers for Alta Church.  I worked most of the day making egg casserole, cavatine and Denny figuring out protein for Jensnesn.  Jensens got here and we had Cavatini for supper.  Denny also grilled protein, sausage with cheese.  Porkburgers with pepper bacon, and we finished off the pecan pie from Christmas.  

Setting up computer

 We were home all day.  Denny was thrilled with clean sunroom carpet.  Lots of work and following Chat and Google info.  He looked at the orange car, trying to decided about the changes he made, it he needed to redo the left hand side of the back door.  I went to Study and picked up Lynn N. We came home and then at 7 I rode in with them and played for a couple hours.   My knee was starting to bother me and so I stopped and we just watched.  When we were done, Lynn, Toshi, Craig and Sue stopped for a visit on the patio.  Beautiful evening.

 Lincoln, We love you so much!! God has great plans for your life. 

I slept until 6 showered and was in IG for an hour of pickleball.  Next to Cooks, boys and I volunteered at Alta Olive Branch.  Next playground at Alta school, then Storm Lake Beach.  Headed to Jan’s at 3.  VBS at 4:45.  great day!!!  At home Denny was cleaning the sunroom carpet.  AND not having success.  Uffda!!!

Fort Dodge

I carried 2 bouquets to the house so Denny could bring with him to Fort Dodge.  I volunteered at Orphan GTand met Denny in Arthur afterwards.  We returned a golf bag and 1retrever. to Paul R.   The boys had picked out a bag and retrievers that they wanted.  We got to the Mineral City restaurant at 11.  Great to visit with Charlie, Ann, Steve, and Sherry.  Before heading home we made a Walmart stop for the right cleaning prouducts to get the stains out!!! Uffda!!!. Denny worked on it all afternoon, saying I should be doing this on my hands and knees.  Unbeknownst to me He was listening to a new song that he told me on Wednesday that he thought it was my song.  "I like it when you're nice to me".

Golf

 I was up and playing pickleball with Dave F. Before heading to Cherokee for Keenagers.  I sold 1/5 bouquets,, just $20 for my drug money.   After lunch I went to get boys.  We drove Andrea’s cart and they got about 25 balls.  At home they put on shorts, for VBS, we took the cart keys and flowers to the office to tell Rich thank you. Then we went to New Leaf before VBS.  Mandy and friend are uncharge of VBS and a major part of the skits. It looks like a fun week. At home Denny was tackling the dirty sunroom carpet, without success on the 3 big spots.  Uffda!!!  Nice night in the bunkhouse. 

Japan report

 I took flowers to church yesterday for the front. After church and SS nap, world cup, put together red white and blue flowers for golf tomorrow.  I made green beans for 6 pm pot luck. After the potluck the Japanese reported on their trip to challenge.  I've sent the nursing picture to nurses I know. 

Pick up Anabel after challenge

 Didn’t sleep well. Came to the house for devo and back to bed until Jean started sister call.  Watered and weeded flower garden.  Went to Paul R for golf things for boys.  Back home to shower and nap before heading to get Anabel. We drove her from Arthur to Ames.  She visited a while in the car and then lay down/napped.  We had pizza at Laurie and Alan’s. We made a Walmart run before heading home. Zurbreggens were at Alan's.  Cooks had a swim meet at Humbolt.  

Early PB

 I left at 7 to play PB.  Nice time.  At home Missy was working on school.  Phillip went on a bike ride, Denny and Brooks finished up tasks. 

Study & out to eat

 It was a great morning with Missy visiting with us on the porch.  I spent time just with Missy.  It was nice.  At 1 we went into IG.  Missy ate lunch with Renae, I went to Susan’s for study. After study we looked for DG gum for KISC, but weren’t in luck.  At 5 we went with Raabs and Bergmans to the Fireside.  Great meal, fun company.  Thank you, Jesus.

Olive Branch

 I slept in house ‘cause Jack and Tyler were in computer room.  When they got up we ate Denny’s breakfast and we played Mexican Trains.  Missy was up with an 8 am phone call.  I left for Alta and Dad went to shower.  They kept me busy at OB putting designer clothes on the rack.  I called on the way home, Missy and boys were loading up to spend the afternoon at Cherokee until the glow run.  I had hoped they would wait for me.  I had to drive the Rav home so Phillip could get old changed in Carroll.  Brooks was spraying off the coop roof.  Denny and I returned the rental cherry Picker.  Phillip bought pork chops for those of us at the farm.  Denny washed the pickup.

Chris / Karen arrive

 Finish Washing bedding. Denny started smoking ribs for supper.  I made coleslaw and cleaned up kitchen area.  I think I went into OGT, but it is now the 24th of July and I am trying tot catch up my blog AND I am really nit sure what I did.  The Nepalee family that stayed overnight were very good friends of Brooks,  He played BB with the younger son and the older son graduated with Anabel.  We ate under the pine trees. The dad played Missy's saxophone on the patio.  Pretty cool.  After they left Denny and Brooks went to Storm Lake and rented a cherry picker to trim trees.  

Trimming trees

I made cream cheese coffee cake. Denny was up at 7 to make breakfast for the guests.  (Who didn’t leave until 10).  I went in to play2games of Pickleball. Then I went to OGT. I drove to Cherokee and brought the biys to the farm.  At home Missy and Phillip were going to Wall Lake.  Phillip to ride bike, Missy was meeting Kathi to visit.  Denny and Brooks had gone to Storm Lake to rent a lift for trimming tree branches.  They were busy trimming.  We had mac and cheese and leftover s for supper,

SS presentation

 I was up and made coffee and got flowers ready for church.  Matt’s family left about 8. Dad had gone to take a shower after fixing eggs snd bacon for all.  Luke and family left after Jensens had their SS talk. Cooks came back to the home and we had leftovers.  AND a sweet quiet time visiting with Jensens in the sunroom as kids played outside. 

Johnson family weekend

 The 4mile  section run started around 8.  Mandy and Matt walked, Missy, Anabel Haley ran, Brooks and Jason really ran. I rode the 4wheeler with Wyatt, Tyler and Jack.  Lukes family slept. The egg casserole went in after the section run.great meal Pete,Ludemila and Danyel came as we were heading into IG park.  We played Pickleball-3 on 3- splashpad and picnic at the city park.   About 4hours worth. The slash pad was a hit!! Jensens fixed brats pasta salad and roasted broccoli PLUS banana splits BIRTHDay treats.  Everyone filled out an order what you wanted and the granddaughter fixed it. Everyone had to nswer around the table high-low-buffalo. Thank you, Jesus for this family that you have blessed us with.

Family arrive. Friday

 I played golf with Renae, Missy  Brooks, and Leo @8.  Boys vs girls. Tied on our score. I made a few shots. It was the first time Brooks played and he did well. Denny started smoking the brisket to eat tonight last night.   Luke and Karen+  got here first. Then Cooks pulled in with their RV.  It was a sweet time just sitting and visiting in the camp ground by the cabin with 6 adults.  Matt, Haley and Wyatt arrived.  Becky Kane, Torren and Evan didn’t come.  Mandy brought corn on the cob that we cooked on grill burner. Brisket, kettle bread, Coleslaw and corn.  Luke had his lemonaide. We all sat around pine tree tables. For dessert peanut butter bars. Kids played ghosts and dragons???? Nice visiting. Matt posted a Google docs that showed a place for everyone to sleep and assigned meals.   Lots of frogs were caught, kept, let go, and loved.
