On the farm

 I was kinda bummed to start the day.  Lord, please change me to be more like you.  Uffda!!!I did little organizational tasks.: discarded some glasses from cabinet, sorted clothes for Missy, me, whoever from Olive Branch and Orpan GT.  folded and put away clothes in the dryer.  The tractor needed new batteries.  so we went to John Deere in IG.  $400 dollars later.  It had been 11 years since we got batteries.  We stopped at Lewis Family and I bought Areds, calcium and turmeric.  $110.  They will last about 3 months.  At home I continued random tasks.  So happy to get t text from Evan saying they will visit tomorrow afternoon thru Friday at 10.  Lord, grant me wisdom.  Prepare my heart.  WOW MY FLOWER PATCH WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF DENNY CLEANED HIS PICKUP AT DUSK AND I WEEDED. 

Happy Anniversary!!! 53 years

I had slept in the house last night.,  Boys were in then computer room.  I woke and got all that I could ready for potluck lunch with OGT.  put table covers on 4 tables, got food tables ready, cleaned bunkhouse. turned on light of coop.  straightened CSA shed.  I also got the boys hitting gold balls.  Denny came back from 6am study at The Farmacy.  I headed to IG.  When I headed home Rita followed me.  and about 17 other workers.  It was a nice time.  They wanted me to give them a tour and I probably talked too much.  About noon we went thru the line.  Lots of good food.  We sat under the pine trees.  I texted Evan to see if he could meet up with us.  No reply.  The boys were helpful getting the fallen tree off the trampoline. We went to dollar General before meeting Mandy and Jason at century bar/bowling.   it was kinda a bummer day for me.  Missing my family.  SO thankful for Mandy Jason and boys 

                                            

Keenagers

 I weeded before heading to Golf at Holstein.  Good to get a few of those weeds out before OGT come tomorrow.  It was pink out day at Keenaqgers.  So pretty with everyone in pink.  I p played with  From Holstein.  We shot a 42.  Of course out of the money.  :). I headed to Olive B next and picked up a few dress shirts for Missy.  Then to Cherokee to meet Mandy and go thru Hayes's.  $100 donation.  I brought the boys home.  SO fun to experience all the animation during supper in the sunroom before bedtime.  They slept in the compupterroom with the 2 foldout singles chairs put together,. I slept in the home place. 

Church and PB

I was up early and had devo on the porch.  I put together 12 flower bunches for church and then I will sent home the flowers after OGT comes for lunch.  Our Airbnb guest left some sweet corn.  YES!!  Phillip texted to say Change of plans ... they were staying in Ames to see Owen and Andrew before college starts on Tuesday for Owen.  They may not make it to the farm this week.  Restful afternoon.  catching cup on the blog , reading, Phone playing and napping.  I went in to play PB around 6.  So fun!!!

Another rainy day

A tree fell on the trampoline last night.   I had a sister call that I took out in the CSA barn.  Then walked to the porch.  The Airbnb guests checked in last night.  I put together 3 vases for Keenagers.  They  tturned out pretty.  In the morning we saw a great blue Heron around our place.  We also had a toy wren that visited us on the porch.  We sorted pennies to use prior to 1982 to prevent green growing on the bird watering bowl.  I played with PicArt and collages.  I fixed stirred veggies, onions, cabbage asparagus for supper with then orange chicken.  We used a leftover bottle from F2T with supper.  

Rainy rainy Day

 I was up for quite a while during the night.  Did Wordle and then fell back asleep.  In am devo, Pick up garage, unload car of F2t flower stuff to CSA.  Denny cleaned the garage.  I laid around all day and worked on an instagram for Farm to Table.  Thank you Jesus, I got it done and published.  I really think it is SO fun to work on stuff like that.  We got a tin can call from Rose.  We have 3 couples in the Home Place Airbnb.  

Shower for Waldon

 We slept in this am.  I started o get ready for the shower.  I put the desserts left over from the F2t meal.  I cit up bread and mixed cream cheese with ranch dressing mis and cut up cokes to put on it.  Most came at 1:30.  Amanda went to Susan's first, but then Amanda came SO good!!!!   Denny mowed while we had study.  I sent flowers home with everyone.  After they left I loaded a dishwasher full and straightened up the kitchen.  Then started to watch an angel movie.  Denny fixed amazing hamburgers for supper.  

Olive Branch. F2T.

 I went to Alta.  Diane was happy I came.  I went to IG  around noon and helped sod menial labor.  Stuff envelopes, tape place mats on tables, stuff silverware in napkins.  I came home and loaded up most of the flowers.  Denise came and got the last 6 boxes.   We unloaded about 4:30.  It was a great night.  Good food, I had asked Denise if we could sit by them and so we did.  The music was good.  The steak was great.  Mason F. said that they had aged it for a month in the refrigerator.  So good!!!  We visited with a variety of people, Veltri's Rita, O'Tools, We stuck around withal they cleaned up.  The amount of time the committee put into creating this meal was phenomenal.  They are all good hard workers.  

OGT

 Denny went in early for men's study group at the Farmacy.  He was in a hurry getting home and didn't evnnput his pickup away.  I left for OGT.  Such a nice bunch of people.  I came home and worked more of flowers for F2T.  

great golfing

 I was up and took 22 flowrwes to Golf.  Jenn had ordered.  I took the Prius into Carlyl to get new tires.  Maebel gave me a ride to Cherokee.  I golfed with Rhonda, Cindy and Tammy.  We played quite awesome and shot a  32. and one the bestball that day./. $14.  Rhonda gave me a ride to Mandy's.  Dennydrove up after his Dr.l appointment,ent at Hlstien.  9 boys came for a backyard party.  What fun they had.  After hot dogs for supper we headed home.  I worked on some flowers when we got home.  

Rustic River F2T Flowers

I put flowers together for Irene.  After church we went to Bridget D. for  boxwood.  Then we went to Black Hawk Lake and sat until 2.  Twila had planned a birthday get together.   Lots of people aat a vey nice place.  We came home, took a nap and at 6 , Ashley;, Emerson, and Henley, donna, Amy and Nikki came to help put together flowers for F2T.  Nikki stayed and we had a good visit.  Good day

Flat tire

 Up and out to the CSA to work on flowers.  In the afternoon I cooked the sweet corn, cut up radishes, made onions, green beans.   Denny cleaned the Prius, inside and out.  I drove into IG to get the tire fixed.  We had ordered 4 new tires from him and he just put a nice tire on until Monday.   Mandy gave away some plants.  Nikki was the recipient.  

Farmer's market

I was up early;, devov, and baking 6 more kettle breads.   I was busy all morning dishes, baking, flowers, I left for Pam's for study.  When I went out to check the flowers in the car that was running.  I walked thru the yard and was looking at my car.  I stepped in a whole and face planted.  I sold 2 flowers for $10 and 2 breads for $10.  I had made keto bread/buns that morning.  Uffefa!! not so hot.  

Cherokee

 I played PB with Dave F. I walked thru Christina's flower garden and then got to Cooks.  The boys were busy doing something.  We went to Olive Branch and volunteered there until 11:30.  They hung up clothes, carried boxes from the van, We had such at home and then went swimming.  Before we went to the pool Jack found a back pack he liked.  Well, we got a bunch of free stuff that really wasn't such a good idea.  Mandy and Jason aren't thrilled with junk that the boys brought home.  At home Denny was cleaning his pickup.  Luke took a trip on Wednesday.

OGT.

 Denny went to a study at then Farmacy..... AT 6 AM!!!  I was at OGT til 11.  lAshley brought the vases for the Farm to Table Meal August 12.  Well. ... I may have bitten off more that I can do.  There are a gazillion vases.  So fun!!. Just hope I can fill them all.  Denny spent the day polishing his car.  It was great to have rain all day.  We napped in the afternoon .  I talked to Nikki G and she will help me.  

Keenagers

 I was happy to get an order for flowers at 7:30.  Just enough time to [put together an arrangement for $20.  I had just looked in the cooler and saw some really pretty flowers.   Bingo.  $20:). I played with Peggy, Linda, and Judy --- who ordered the flowers.  We shot a 33.  Pretty good, but not in the money.  

Church and water

 I took flowers ro church ... and people were happy to get them afterwards.  Denny, bless his heart drove me to Moorhead Park for my water fix.  In the after noon I read / and napped.  I went into IG to play pickleball 5;30M-8.  SO FUN!!! We watched Angel movie about Alzheimers.   Lovely day

Home

 We have Mandy B. and her family staying at the Home Place.  I am still in bed at 8:30, after staying here for devo and the sister phone call and now with the laptop on my [illow updating the blog.  Nice, fun easy day.
