Heading home

Bruce fixed us breakfast. I played PB with Bruce,Keith and Jane. SO FUN!! Then we headed home. One stop at Rieff's greenhouse where I got a rudbeckia and Orientalstatus. Lots of driving, I listened to dab and You tubes. Lord, thank you for safe troubles. On the way to Burr Oak Denny stepped on the gas and the check engine light came on, so we're living on a prayer.

To Beau's Grad party

I got up and walked to Rose's school with Karen. Denny got Lincoln on the bus while we got Starbucks. We enjoyed the coffee on their back deck. I got 2 big tomato plants at Kalwaski's. Next we headed to Pine Islnd to have subway with Webb's. It was good to touch base with them. We got to Bruces and relaxed before going to Keith and Jane's home. Keith gave me a touor of his yard. Bruce drove the 5 of us to bEau's Grad party. Well, not directly to his party. We drove around the neighboorhood ALOT!! It was good to see neices and nephews from Craig. We stopped by pulpet Rock campground wo see Zimmermans camping and fishiing. At Bruce's we enjoyed sppending time around his big fire. Soft bed in the basement and we slept well.

Heading North

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SUE AND GORDON!!! I was up and had devo in the house. I baked a chocolate cake, I did a couple loads of wash. I planted the other rhdodendroum, right beside the lilac. And PUT TOGETHER some flowers for Karen. We went to Denny's urology appointment. It all looked good, no real problem found and so we made another appoinntment for the 19th. We headed to excelsior around 1. Driving, Driving, Driving.

6:30nalarm for getting rolling. I loaded the Prius with veg and flowers for Maebell to take to golf. Denny picked me up at the golf course. Thee was road construction but we made it there ok. Denny gort fishing gear at Farm Fleet. I got 2 azalia's at Lowels's. Half price. WE stoped in IG to get a check cashed and pickup my car. Hyvee stop and stop at Starbucks. Mow when we get home. AND pack AND clean the Rav 4. Good day!!! Especially because Denny checked out OK with his heart.

Memorial Day!!

Thanks to those who gave their lives to give us freedom. Coffee under flying flag. Mandy fixed donuts with olive oil. We made beds and gathered stuff that was Mandy's. Cooks rode the 4 wheeler, packed a lunch, went to the culvert, I walke over there with Mandy's weighted vest. They packed up and left for home about 2. Turmoil with my double booking Tuesday afternoon with boys and also thinking I could do Huddle time after that. Nope.... Bummer. Lord, help me. This week has lots going on AND my days are full. Lord, help me.

Sunday Fun Day

Up and put together red white and blue vase for church, We took the boys to SS. I gave the flowers to Lindsay L. to enjoy. Mandy joined us at church. We came home and ate smoked meat sandwiches. Around 3 Sherry and Jennifuer came to play pickleball. Sam joined them. About 4 Rose, Nikke, little Ada and Halle came to visit. So nice to kinda catch up on happenings. and fun to watch the little girls. Mandy took the boys on 4 wheel drive to creek. We ate supper of smokedd meat and chips. At night boys enjoyed Splish Splash while taking a bath. Jack got his front tooth bumped and broken. Mandy put it into a glass of milk.

Rooted at the farm.

I was up early and made coffee. Then to the garden. Before cheryl left I got some flowers for her and the girls. Thru out the day I got all the flowers planted and tilled around the flower beds. The families were busy playing kick ball, checkers, carpetball, soccer, walk the trail, explore the buildings. Denny smoked the shoulder roast that Mandy brought. He also sauted the asparagus and put it in a crock pot. SuCH GREAT FOOD ALL DAY!! AND LOTS done in my garden.

I went out to the flowers and the ground was too wet. I'm quite sure that the plants will do better if the ground has time to dry some while I play pickleball in IG. I filled the car with gas. WHAT A PAIN THAT IS BECAUSE THE GAS SHut off SHuts tHE gas ABiut every 15 sec9nds. At home I planted flowers. and we got the farm ready for guests. Mandy came around 3. We set up tables in the garage for food. She brought lots for food, games and sparts equipment. The other families arrived later. They ate in the coop and had smores.

I left about 5:45 to head to Atlantic. Gail drove us to Indianola. We worked on her sewing room. At noon Arlan treated us to Mexican where we met Katie and her friend. We also stopped at Walmart for reduced plants. 4 uellow liiies for $5 each. 3 hen and chicks. We went back to there house to work for an hour while Arlan dug up plants for us ON the way home we stopped at Scott and Beth's. They gave us board to make building signage. I help them infront of me untiol we got to Atlantic. Home by 6L30, being gone for 12+ hours. Nice visit with Denny when we were together. We love sleeping in the bunk house. We spray painted the board and put the letters on with glue and brads.

I slept poorly last night. My alarm went off at 6:30. I headed to OGT. At the Elementary school I got some FCA Bibles from Aubrey. Before heading home I got groceries to make scotcheroos. I didn't realize how expensive they are to make. $20 + a pan. Denny went to town to get supplies. I picked asparagus,

Rainy Chilly Day

Up for devo. Slept til 7:30. So comfy. Hopes to clean basement today to get ready for the weekend.

Great Sunday!!

I was up to listen to Recap in bed. Then I went out to carry 2 5 gallono buckets with lids into the bunkhouse. Evan came for Teifentaller breakfast. So good to have him here. I gave Denny his birthday gift. $100 to spend of fishing stuff. The buckets are to carry any fish that Denny catches to stock the stream. After SS we headed to Cherokee for Tyler's gymnastics. Fun to watch the little ones. We went to Cooks for lunch. Before we headed home we went to Bomgaars and Denny got fishing stuff. To the tune of another $100. Sherry came to the farm and we played PB in the machine shed. Nikke G. came out to ask Denny some questions. It was so great to rock on the porch and visit and encourage one another. Luv those gals. The bunkhouse really provides a quiet cocmfy play for us to stay.

It was cold when we went down stairs. Gotta luv the Mini spliit and the heat that is sent upsatairs. Evan came from the basement for obreakfast and a visit. So good to have him around. At 11 we left for Tiefentallers and Cherokee. Jack's gymnastics were very good. We went to Cooks afterwards to visit and cheese and crackers. Next stop Sioux City Home Depot. Denny got another on demand water heater. I got some plastic sheeting for building signs. We came home by way of Schroeders to celebrate Olivia.

Chilly, Windy and a little bit of rain

I listened to Recap and DAB in bed. All day long I would work then rest then work and then sit then work again. .... Weeded north side of the coop. Dug up sunflowers and daisys to plant there. Planted holly hocks. Watered plants and then some rain came. Tilled area and put carpet over ti. Denny cleaned the pickup but first he really had to work to get sprayer running. I was dirsty and took a shower and the hot water clogged had black in it and stopped. Denny worked so hard to get it running. After fixing it "good enough" for us we went to Ally L. grad party. Evan is in the area.
