Church with 3 YIPEE!!!

Phillip is preaching in Kiron and so Denny and I took the kids to church with us and home for lunch.  Before donuts they were so cute reading my Blog books and looking at pictures of people that they know.   Hard to know if the binders will last with lookers like that. I was in the nursery during SS.  About 9 men from the church went to Correctionville to help with chainsaw gang and cleanup after the tornado there Friday night.  Nap after lunch, then I went out to dig up bulbs.  We went to Prayer time at church.  Missy said Jay and Joey were at the Kiron church.

Awana training is in Johnston

Up and left about 6:30 for Awana meeting in Johnston.  It was very good. Kara and Julie came too.   I went to a seminar about 7 laws of Teaching and when we got home I ordered information from them.  Lord, guide my life and job.  We went to Lowes to get drill attachment for planting bulbs, but no luck.  When we got home we ordered that too.  We got groceries at Carroll HyVee and ate Mexican after that.  Pictures are of the cute Junior church worship area. Neat benches. I guess Linda and Gary were at the farm.

Friday :)

I took flowers to resource ladies.  On Fridays I monitor hallways.  After school I worked on IEP for a while, then Lynzie and Cathy were working there together so I went home.  I walked around the gardens.  They are tucked in for the winter.  Denny mowed them off with bush hog, Then tilled them with tractor tiller.  Phillip planted cover crop on them and dragged the soil with the 4 wheeler. Good night, sleep tight,  Rest until next spring.

I found this blog post that I  had never posted.  So here goes a post from the end of March:

I have decided that Brooks will make a great radio announcer.  When he is talking there is absolutely no dead air time.  Words just come out of his mouth at a constant rate with a volume of about 100 + decibles.  I tried to record by writing his speech this am when he came down to tell me that he had gone poop and pottie in the toilet.  This is an accomplishment which earns him 2 jelly beans for a poop and 1 jelly bean for a pottie from Grandma.  He has been at it for about a week.  If I am in the house he comes down to tell me and let me reward him.  If I am not present he comes down when I arrive and I happily give him treats. (I hope I am not still doing this when he is twenty.)  He did tell his parents this am that it was pretty easy.  That is a good sign.  Hopefully bribery (incentive) will work.  I had also left 5 pieces of coffee cake on the floor at the top of the stairs earlier this am and he had to tell me what he did with the plate.
Vicki is retiring after this school year.  She has been a SPED teacher here for 32? years.  We have interviewed 3 people for the job and the principal offered the job to one of the gals and she took it.  YEA!

Made flowers for ladies

Awake to rain, but I am afraid it was not very much.  We sat out on the deck for a few minutes before the bus went by and I was time to go to school.  A student was not very happy when he got his computer taken away.  Uffta!!   One student started a math class on line and so now I go to a study hall to help a student who does not want my help.   BUT when I got home Brooks greeted me with the sweetest, biggest smile and overflowing love.  Thank you Jesus.  We chilled in the basement for a while, fixed supper and then I went out to pick flowers for the ladies in the resource room.  Denny came out and helped Phillip pull tomato trellises and till the ground.  We came in and chopped the tomatoes that I had peeled after supper and started a batch of salsa.  Then time to head to bed.  Pictures of cross country meet at Swan Lake.

Awana got to lead kindergarten game time

Up early, Denny tilled the land up at the unit.  I picked flowers for Andrea's birthday.  Then to school.  At Awana I got to lead game time for the kindergartners.  That was fun.  Pictures from one of the last CSA pickups.  And of the flower garden near the end of the season.

Thank you Jesus for each day

Denny and I had coffee under the tree in the front yard.  Pretty sunrise.  Two students in English first hour :).  Started another student on Oddyssey.  Lord, let it work for him.  Math student is really stressed with more that 2 ste processes.  Denny heard of someone who can locate metal pipes on a farm.  After work he mowed all the garden and put on the tractor tiller.  I worked til after 6:30 at school.  Missy said tomato plants may be gone tomorrow.  In bed by 8:30, slept til 9:45 then woke up.  Lord help me get the rest I need.
