Fri 31

We invited Lincoln's parents over for coffee.  I found grubs in my lisianthus.  Lord, grant me wisdom. Becky and crew got up at 3 to get to the Minneapolis airport,  I went to pick them up.  We had guacamole on the deck.  They decided to just chill at 4seasons and enjoy the pool.  Denny used the Blackstone to reheat Barbacoa for tacos and we invited Gloria for supper.  It was beautiful and windy on the deck.  Another great day in the Valley.  SO GOOD TO HAVE THE Z JOHNSONS WITH US!!!                                               NOT HAPPY TO HAVE THE ARMY SLUGS WITH US!!!

                                                       

Thurs 30

 I played pickle ball, Bennetts were in charge and it was fun.  At 11 Kathy, Leann and myself rode with Karen to eat at Lobo Del Mar.  It was so good.  Then we went to Barry's on the beach.  Fun time to visit.  I napped after I got home.  Denny worked on a email to Schrums and Bruce about closing their trailers.  

Wednesday 29

Up for devo.  Denny went and turned on the water and hot water in lot 603 where the kids are staying.   It is Missy's last week of school before a KISC break.  Elementary school it having a Wild Adventure with Ranger Jensen. It looks like super week.  I invited Emerson and Meg and Bill to hit golf balls into the resaca.  

Rainy day

I got up about 7:45 and went to play pickleball and work on a puzzle.  Denny was printing up info on Bruce's trailer.  I watched a couple videos on making table garlands, trying to get info for Naomi's wedding flowers.  She sent me pictures of what she would like. I think it will be amazing, but I just hope I don't have to plan ... just put together the pretty greenery that someone else orders.  Nice lazy afternoon with a Hallmark movie.  Get together at the hall at 4.   It was kinda a "going away for the summer" get together.  Good day in the Valley. 

Re group.

 Up for devo.  Nice quiet am before dawn.  Put away stuff from meal last night.  I played pickleball and worked on a puzzle.  Naomi texted me with wedding flower ideas.  It looks so nice.  We closed Bruce and Schrum's trailers.  Pool time for a while and leftovers for supper, it was so good. TV at night.   I liked this post about being a mom.  

 

Brisket

We watched Pastor Dave at 9:15.   It ws a fun day planning and setting up for the party.   I napped and about 1 I went to Kathy's and we put together the succulent pot.  They turned out nice and Kathy brought them over for the snack table at 4.  On the way home from Kathy's I stopped at Bransons and pick some bougainvillea for the table.  Meg, Sandy,Bill and We ate at 5.  28 of us!! It turned out so fun.  Good music and fun people.  We had 3 tables set on the deck. We put the food that friends brought for potluck in the kitchen.  I set a card table on each side of the kitchen table to hold all of the food.  Friends walked into the kitchen, filled their plates and out to sit on the deck.  

Girls day

The day started with a sister's phone call.  I started it as I picked up Sandy, Meg and Kathy for yogurt.  It was beautiful morning and a full day.  I bought a couple soap bags to hold slivers of used bars of soap.  Next we went to get cash and go to Sally's garage sale.  I got 4 iris napkins and a frame for Dad and Mom's 4seasons picture.  We headed to Wild August.  It is so nice there with all the pretty flowers, fun vendors.  We went to lunch at the Mexican restaurant,   Kathy had gotten some plants at Wild August and wanted to stop at the Kay's Cactus and flower pot place.  She got a real pretty low pot for succulents, I suggested and second pot to place on the top.  I think it will really turn out nice.  Denny started the brisket about 9 am.  Joan spotted an alligator in the resaca.  We talked to Sherry, she had a friend visiting.  They found and cut some pussy willows for me.  That made me smile.  Nice day!!!

Fri

 We spent most of the day slowly getting organized for the meal Sunday. wrapped silverware, got chairs from Gails, I went to work at church sorting for their garage sale.  Denny fixed the post on Gail and Bruces carport.   In the afternoon Denny and I went to Walmart.  We got an 8 foot folding table that seats 10, and supplies for closing the trailer's for the season.  Sherry bought a cot for Keelie so she would be off the garage floor when she slept.  Sam won an art award at the high school completion for welding.

Second year, same menu, same people, same place ... SO GOOD!!!!

 Lasagnas with the Bennett's.  A couple of days ago Bill and Sandy came over and asked if they could fix lasagne in their airpot and bring it to the deck and have supper together.  Such a good idea.  FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW same day, same menu same fun.  We watch the birds and laughed and just enjoyed being together.  I continue to work on the elephant puzzle that I took up to the card room.  It'll take a while.

Hendersons leave for Iowa

I took coffeee over to Gail before they left at 5:30 am.   

Pickleball had about 15 of new time players.  I went to lunch with the full timers:). We went to Bab B Boomers.   Good good food and fun talking.  We went to Pirates Landing afterward. At home Denny was working on adding the bear story onto the safari and saving the movie and transporting it.  It was a struggle for him.

                                                 

Wonderful warm rainy morning.

Too wet... no pickleball.  I went to work on the Elephant puzzle for a while.  Denny (and I) worked on taxes.  Cute video clip from KISC.  Gail and Bruce are leaving tomorrow.  I'll make coffee for them before they leave around 5am.   We fixed the chair table that I broke on the recliner that Denny likes to sit in.  BAD ME!!!!  Hurrah we got it fixed!  We are planning a brisket smoke potluck for Sunday night.  I fixed roasted cauliflower steaks topped with pizza toppings.  It was a beautiful night on the deck.    Fun safari video from the head of primary.  I like to watch Hallmark.
