Sunny chilly day

Bruce stopped by the house about 7:30.  We visited and then went up to the court for pickle ball at 8.   Girls played girls and boys played boys.  When I got home Denny had gotten the spade ready for planting grass seed.   Bruce came over and helped dig and loosen the dirt and I did his laundry.  I am so happy I got the 3 books I ordered on Amazon.  DDD, Fast feast, Repeat, and Read thru the Bible in a Year. The guys ate leftovers before putting seed on the dirt and starting the waterer.  Today I got 3 books delivered.  I had a lot of fruit, so I called Kathy and she came over for fruit smoothies.  They brought burgers for supper. Mandy had a Lifestyle 28 zoom call at 8.      I think it went very well.

Great post that Kathi shared with the Sunday school class:

Don’t feel sorry for or fear for your kids because the world they are going to grow up in is not what it used to be. God created them and called them for the exact moment in time that they’re in. Their life wasn’t a coincidence or an accident. Raise them up to know the power they walk in as children of God. Train them up in the authority of His Word. Teach them to walk in faith knowing that God is in control. Empower them to know they can change the world. Don’t teach them to be fearful and disheartened by the state of the world but hopeful that they can do something about it. Every person in all of history has been placed in the time that they were in because of God’s sovereign plan. He knew Daniel could handle the lions den. He knew David could handle Goliath. He knew Esther could handle Haman. He knew Peter could handle persecution. He knows that your child can handle whatever challenge they face in their life if they trust in Him. He created them specifically for it! Don’t be scared for your children, but be honored that God chose you to parent the generation that is facing the biggest challenges of our lifetime. Rise up to the challenge. Raise Daniels, Davids, Esthers and Peters! God isn’t scratching His head wondering what He’s going to do with this mess of a world. He has an army He’s raising up to drive back the darkness and make Him known all over the earth. Don’t let your fear steal the greatness God placed in them. I know it’s hard to imagine them as anything besides our sweet little babies, and we just want to protect them from anything that could ever be hard on them, but they were born for such a time as this. ”

Golfiin' Picklin' wingin'

I didn't sleep well last night, but was up at 6 for Mandy's video.  We left at 7:30 for golfing at VICC.  I played with Bruce, Gail and Mark P.  I shot a 51 and 53.  Some good some not so good shots.  It was fun to play with siblings.   Denny and I took a home depot run and at 3 we played pickle ball until 4 and Denny picked us up to go to C7c wings.  Kathy and Bill joined us there.  YUM!! At home we watched tv.

Rose started to ski this week.  She looks so good.

Another great day in theValley

Surprise!!!  Brother Bruce drove into Gail's driveway about 7 am.  He had driven straight thru from Madison Wisconsin leaving at 7 am Monday.  He said he wanted to get thru Houston and not battle traffic, but he did take a 20-30 minutes nap in the back of the pickup when he was south of Houston.  Denny fixed him breakfast and then we went to play pickle ball.  It is beautiful out on the deck!!!!! Looks like a wonderful day.  After pickle ball Denny and Bruce sat on deck, At 3 we played more pickle ball with Gail and Bruce.  At 5 Finchers and Bransons joined us at Hendersons for tamales, etc.  Great night.  Lord, be with the Georgia election.  Protect our country from forces of evil.   I worked on Lifestyle.

Could a day get any better???

Up and listened to Mandy at 6:30.  Pickle ball at 8-10:30.  Denny is looking at fixing the level on the kitchen area.  The trailer needs to be raised.  I went to the pool from 1-3 and took a nap on the hard HARD recliner.  Wonderful warm weather.  We fixed jalepino poppers.  Gail and I took stuff to Bruce's to welcome him to Texas.  We went to Melissa and Paul's for a visit.   Griscelda and John came over for pizza and to visit on th deck.  Thank you, Jesus for this day.  LORD, I pray for our country.

Some times I crack myself up!!!

Boca Chica Beach

Well, I didn't have my phone by my bed, so I was awake and not knowing the time.  It was 2:30ish and I read out in the living room until 4 and then headed back to bed.   We watched Candlewood and Kiron services.  About noon we headed to Boca Chica Beach past Space X.  It was 70 degrees, but windy and chilly.  ON the way home we went to Walmart for coffee filters, cream cheese and a tape measure.  At home we went to Finchers to help Jerry order a truck part on Amazon.  I posted on Lifestyle:28.  Hopefully it will bring a smile.  Another beautiful sunset ...  #nevergetsold

I was up and rode with Gail and Joyce to yoga at the farmers market.  Then pickle ball,  There were about 11 of us playing.  Good crowd.  I made cauliflower salad while Denny worked on negating my tax report of my farmer's market flowers that I have stopped doing.  At 3 we went to Gail and Bruce's to watch the first half of the ISU vs Oregon Fiesta Bowl game.   ISU won!!  We went to Bransons for grilled ribs.  Great meal and visiting with Bransons and Reals.

Nice slow am.  Brad and Joyce stopped over for Mexican coffee after their walk.  Denny and I worked on photos in the morning as he downloaded info on my phone.  I played pickle ball at 2:30.  Denny napped.  The fireworks was at 7 over the resaca.
