Happy Father's Day!!

I fixed coffee for Denny.  He got a nice long phone call from Nepal.   We ended up with the Grands having breakfast in the bunkhouse.  We left about 10 for Jackson Minnesota.  I fed kids mac and cheese, strawberries, chips, and granola bars on the way.  Karen and Luke came from Duluth and we met about 1:30.  Kids played in an empty splash pad.  After we left there we went to Cherokee, just to say hi and bye.  Long car ride today.  Lotsa driving for tired father.  Happy Father's day to all.

Supper with G'ps and G'ma Hawkeye

Rose woke up and helped me outside.  I weeded a couple rows of lisianthus.   Denny fixed breakfast out on the deck.  We tried to get the one love seat into the bunk house, but it was too big, so we have 2 out by the road for FREE!  If they don't go we'll use them to sit around the fire and then burn them.    After naps Pete and Carol came to have hot dogs with us.  Nice night.  I was tired.

At home with the grands

It is a beautiful morning.  The kids played outside most of the morning.  (Well, it helped that I locked the sunroom doors)  We ate down by the cabin.  Then we played in the creek.  G'pa ticked them with costa leaves.  While the grands napped Denny did the amazing!!  He added another light switch in the kitchen area, so the vintage light fixture is on its' own switch.  He is amazing!!  Rose and Lincoln played by the stream.

We fixed pizza for supper.

We have visitors

I stayed home this am and we worked on the bunkhouse.  Denny figured out how to put the old light fixture in the kitchen area.  Karen, Rose, and Lincoln came about 11. Karen was heading back to their home.  She expected to get there about the same time as Luke coming back from a business trip.   The Grands played down by the creek and then they napped.  Nakasawas came for supper around 5.  Good to visit with them.

Pickleball

I went to patio  prayer.  Joy texted me and asked if I would stop in to check on him.  I made some muffins and biscuits and gravy.  I stopped and he was getting better and appreciated the care package.  I went to play PB at 8.  Then at 10 I left for Kasey's funeral.  They had a lunch afterwards at the golf course.  On the way home I stopped at J&J and bought 2 bar stools that swiveled and a 1920's light fixture.  They should work well in the bunkhouse.  When I got home we mowed the yard.  Denny has been sweeping off the ceiling on the big room.   I swept and cleaned the floor and at night I put polyurethane on the floor.  Karen texted, she is bringing then Grands here until Sauday when Luke will be done with his G'ma's Marathon race.  Now that makes me happy!!  Nepali family got there vehicle.  The wisteria is blooming and I texted the Bergmans with some pictures I  uncovered when I looked in the photo albums.

Full day

I went to OGT after I took a call from Fay.    From there i went to Cherokee and watched the boys in the afternoon while Mandy had a dentist appointment.  I made a couple pans of lasagne and it was great to be there.  I stopped at the Holstein farmer's market before going to IG.  Meg's mural was being "ribbon cutting" recognized.  It turned out so cool.  I stopped at the funeral home for Kasey's visitation  before getting Mexican at the food truck.  She was a good friend and came to the Bible studies in my home on Monday mornings for many years.   I will miss her.
