I spent the early day at home. It rained, I realized I had done the wrong lesson for BSF, Uffda!! So I took my time and did Lesson 21, getting done a half an hour before the zoom meeting. I had trouble connecting, but I did join Cherry's BSF international group. Yes!!! And then Cherry couldn't get connected, Uffda!! It was good to be there with them studying the book of John from 12-1. Lord, guide me. I read in the sun of the deck in the afternoon. At 4 we headed to the Charo day happy hour with Kathy, Greg, Dan, Roberta, Leann, Karen, Royal. Fun night. I loved the street tacos!!!
Poem from Phillip:
Slowness: A Prayer An invitation to slowness. That's what this is.
Treelike in stature and shade. Enjoying the sunshine for a whole afternoon. The vocation of treeness. Rooted trust and branched accommodation. A patience. Aches and echoes of eternity set within. Belonging to the soil and weather of a place. Speaking the dialects of quiet whispers and birdsong. Some think it an invitation to hurry. To afternoons of efficiency and skill. And often enough my heart tells me the same. But the trees remind me of a different story. An eternal song. And I am not the Singer. And I can enjoy the sunshine. And the song. |
