John S Celebration of Life at Old Town

I was up and left muffins and good luck note for Nathan airbnb who is running 50 K today at Moorehead.  I picked some lisianthus and ordered pictures at Selections for John S. I went with the idea to help, but they had all the bases covered.  It was a very nice celebration, pretty setting, nice group of people, good meal, Annie had made a very nice video.  At home all 3 boys were napping.  Tyler had a slight fever and so he got some medicine.  We snuggled and watched tractors that are stuck in the mud being pulled out with diggers.  

Goodenow for supper :)

 I ws up and putting the second coat of glossy white paint on the 3 tables before I headed in to IG.  My first task was to take the box of NO GOOD lanterns to Dollar General where there is a pick up for Fed Ex.    Then l played pickleball until 9.  Denny and the boys had breakfast on the deck and were dressed and ready for the day.   I moved the tables to the bunk house and got food ready: corn, green beans, marinate pork chops.  Nice meal with Goodenows and sitting and rocking on the porch.  Susan brought fruit salad and wonderful chocolate/carmel cake.

Supper in the field

I went in to pick up the repaired lawn mower tire and to play pickle ball.  When I came home about 9:30 Denny and the boys were out on the 4 wheeler visiting Julia the wind turbine and the dirt road.   I painted the 2 endtables white and the desk that will go upstairs in the bunk house.  I picked up Keiye in the field and took him to football camp.  Denny grilled brats and we took them to Nakasawas who were stacking bales of straw in the field.   We had invited them over for supper tonight, but with the straw and hay harvest looming they canceled and we said we would bring supper to them.  

Lana came to play

It is such a blessing to spend 6-7 am at Prayer on the Patio.  Brittany was on vacation, so Kim was there to welcome and lead.  I started to pickup around the place.  Denny went to town to stop at the bank to get the land  tracts.  He stopped and got Laura and her grand daughter, Lana, to play with the boys.  They had fun and it was fun to watch them.  After lunch the boys took naps and Denny took the Stangls back to IG.

OGT Home mow

I left for town at 6:50, had a quick stop at the grocery store and went to OGT, then play pickleball, then bought white glossy paint for bed stand tables.    At home Denny was having fun with the boys.     Jack really wanter to ride the lawn mower, so we  mowed even tho the grass was a little wet.  Tyler fell asleep riding with G'pa,  Jack loved to ride.  I went out to CSA to cut corn off the cob.  

Pickleball, golf and Grands

 I was up and got flowers ready for door prize at Keenager golf.  First there was pickleball with Julie and friends from 7:30-9.  Nice lunch of a baked potato bar and soft serve sundaes.   I shot a 46, not my best playing, but I am alive, healthy and happy.  I played with Janet from Arizona, Nancy and Noonie.  Nice time.  At home Denny was busy with the boys.  bikes, jeep, walk up and see the pigs, fill pool with water for swimming after naps.  When the boys went down for naps Denny and I finished getting airbnb ready and then we napped, too.  

TYLER MATTHEW is TWO!!!!

Dear sweet Tyler.  May God continue to bless you with a sweet disposition.  You light up people's lives with your cheery nature.   May your light shine bright for Jesus all your life. 

I left Bruces at dark thirty and got to Arthur at 8:45 where I took a nap until time for SS 9:05.  It was a nice drive, and the nap really felt good.  After church we met Cooks at home.  While the boys napped Mandy finished the Ninja Turtle cake.  Jan and Johns got the pizzas for supper and brought them to the farm.  Fun night.  Jack kept bringing Tyler birthday presents to open ... and helping Tyler open them.  Both boys loved to watch G'pas videos of the helicopter and Darwins red drag racing car.  They were glued to the tv screen.  After boys were in bed Cooks left and we get 11 nights with Jack and Tyler while the adult Cooks go to Hawaii for 2 weeks.  Should be a fun time for all.
