Golf

I loaded the car and headed to Cherokee.  I golfed with Andrea C.  and rode in her cart.  Nice morning.  I didn't shoot very well, but thankful to be alive.  I left and headed to Mandy's.  Andrea said I could use her cart when th boys and I played.  When I got to Cooks, the boys were making game shirts for their Stuffies for the BB game.  So cute.  Jack forgot to put Coach on his shirt and had tomato another.  Tyler put stripes on the plastic grocery bag.  They were playing and talking so nicely I hated to stop their activity and go golfing.  But we did.  I had sold 4 bouquets, and guess our team won first place in second flight.  $15 for each of us.  Andrea, Lola and Karen.  I also won a doorprise.  My lucky day golfing.  The boys had one club slip out of the cart and so we went back to find it... and misplaced another.  Uffda!!  I had them each have 3 clubs, Driver, Iron and putter.  We stopped by the  creek on 5 and they hunted for golf balls.  Jack need up lying on his tummy to reach a couple of balls in the stream.   My watch had dead battery and so I didn't get the boys home in time and I ended up taking them to VBS and dropping off flowers to Andreas cart as a thank you.  Great day in Cherokee.   Denny shampooed the carpets upstairs. Work, Work. Work.

Kiron service

I was up early and started to put together flowers for church.  After pictures in front of the barn we were off.   During the SS presentation Craig and Marilynn walked in.  What a nice surprise!! How kind of them. We invited them over for leftovers, but they weren't able to to stay until Jensens left for Ames.  At home I worked on blog and napped.

RIBS!!!

Denny fixed breakfast for all.  Missy and the boys went into IG.  Anabel went Odebolt with Jessica and Sophi.  At noon Denny started the ribs.  Mandy and family and Jan came at 5.

Kids back to the farm

Gail and I played PB from 7:15-8:15.  Next was golf 4 person best ball.  I played with Gail, Bruce and JC.  We shot 7 under, but not good enough to be in the money.  I made a couple good shots, so felt ok with my game. I headed home and got there around 5.  We fixed grilled fish, guacamole, and garlic butter rice for supper.  Nice lovely meal with the Jensens.  Sandals for all from Mandy and Jason.

Atlantic and airport

I left about 6 , but had to turn around to get suitcases for Jensens.  I drove to the Y to play PB with Gail+. It was fun.  Next we headed to Indianola.  We worked with Jean to clear the pool table.  Gail brought along sweet corn for lunch plus Jimmy Johns.  We headed to the DM airport to pick up Missy and Phillip. We met Evan and Bruce H. at Chick Filet.  Gail and I drove to Scotts to see the barn.  Our drive on 92 back to Atlantic was beautiful.

Rodeo

I went to OGT,  then to Cherokee to spend the afternoon with the boys.  They were so happily playing leggoes in the basement.  About 2 we went to play golf.  Quite a learning curve.  They were not expecting a cart on a real course.   Jack found a $10 bill and he used it on something that would last.  NOT ICE CREAM, it doesn[t last. But a toy from New leaf will last.  Air hockey!!  I got a quilt for the bunk house.  At 5 Sherry picked me up and she drove to Sioux Center for a rodeo.  Well we missed Sam short bull ride, but had a great time talking and catching up on our lives.  I spent the night at the cooks.
