I did not sleep well last night. Every way I lay on my shoulder, it hurt. Denny had taken Advil PM and just lay on his back fast asleep. I saw Missy before she and Phillip headed to Mayo for an MRI and meeting with a specialist. Lord, grant them safety and good answers. I put together pint jars with flowers for the Farm to Table. Kinda tricky with the tall tiger lilies that leaned in the jar. Hopefully tape across the top and a ribbon holding the tape down will keep them in place. At 9 I went to town and played a couple games of pickle ball before my Physical Therapy. At home Denny and the boys were putting the grid to hold the ceiling panels in place in the basement. I think it is gonna look nice. We went into the hospital for his appointment and while we waited I call the bank to tell them about my up and coming visit out of the country. We bought season 1 on Gilmore Girls. ` Denny had gotten the international phone plan for me earlier today. I zipped up my suitcase, it weighed 45 pounds. Now for my carryon and backpack. Lord, grant us all safe travels. 1:36 still waiting to see Dr. Meyer. When we saw him he scheduled a nerve block and started physical therapy.

Rodeo
At home most of the day AND I got most of/ make that all of my plants in the ground. Really got a lot done. At 5 I took a shower outside and went to the Atlantic Rodeo with Sherry, Tara and Toni. Gail and Bruce stopped into say Hi!! we didn't get home until after midnight.
I got a white ribbon once for my Snickerdoodle cookies. I was 7. If you’re familiar with 4-H, you know a white ribbon is the worst—last place. This was pre-4-H in the late 80s. Not long after, they gave all pre-4-H kids those multicolored participation ribbons that said, “Good job for trying.” But I didn’t get that. I got a white. You got that part. I deserved the white. The judge found a hair in my cookie, which is disgusting, and she told me so. At age 7. I went on to earn many ribbons in many colors throughout my 4-H career. Sometimes, I got first, but I usually placed somewhere in the middle, which was perfectly fine with me. I loved 4-H, but I especially enjoyed the socializing part. A farm kid who likes to chat can get lonely in summer, so I longed for those few days in late July or early August when I got to step onto the small-town fairgrounds and be surrounded by friends, animals, funnel cakes, and laughter. I learned, at a very early age, how to work. I stood before adults who asked tough questions about my show animals, sewing masterpieces, and baked goods. I woke up early and stayed up late to finish projects and care for livestock. I learned how to serve others and my community. I cheered for friends when they earned the top prize and learned quickly how to lose gracefully. Gosh, it was a great way to grow up. The smell of Dawn dish soap still reminds me of washing my lamb on those hot summer days, and the sounds of carnival rides will forever keep me young. And still, to this day, before I bake anything in my kitchen, I make sure my hair is pulled back so nothing falls into the batter. Good luck to all the 4-H and FFA kids spending the next few weeks on your county fairgrounds. You don’t know it now, but it’s some of the best days of your childhood. And if you get a white, don’t worry—it builds character.

Golf with Gail
I headed to Atlantic at 6:30 only to find as I traveled south of Denison that YES a bridge was out and so I went back to Denison and finally made it to Atlantic 30 minutes later than I expected. I played with Gail, Bruce, and Cindy. We shot a 29 on the back nine and 32 on the front nine. Fun day, Happy to be home where Denny had moved the bunk house furniture back where it should be. He started washing the kids clothes from camp. We watched tv, Denny was kind enough to pause it a couple times while I went out to check my flowers. He went to sleep and I made poppers to take tomorrow.

PT
I had a Physical Therapy at 8 and then a dermatology checkup. All looks ok. I think PT is helping my range of motion. I stayed in town and played some PB. Evan was getting his drivers license and celebrating with parents for supper. I worked on the garden. Weeding is a task I am behind in. I'm feeling so sad about my flowers fusarium. Uffda !! God's got this. I put plastic over the infected areas. Lord, heal my garden.

That's lotsa time to think and pray and plan the fun thing things that I am going to do today I was trying to put off going to town and Denny said that I "Said I was getting the Paint for the bunk house .... So I guess it is important that I DO WHAT I SAY!!! and so I did. As I drove past the PB courts, there were only 7 and so I played PB. Then another person came and so I went to do errands. I got paint for upstairs of floor wood trim bunkhouse, checked to see if Bomgaars plants were on sale NOPe!!!
