I Love Sundays

I missed have the Grands to go for donuts.  After church we went to IG to get extension materials for table legs.  We took naps.  Denny worked on tables, I don't remember what I did, I am sure something useful.  Great back yard after supper.  Thank you, Jesus.
Denny and I discussed Monarchs.
That picture of Craig is just a kill!!

Lakeview FM

I made one batch of onion dill buns at 4 and another at 6.  Too early, but all sold at FM.  Along with 10 flower bunches.  Mary F called about a garden talk in October for some gals in Holstein.  Diane P. saw me in grocery store and told how she enjoyed the flowers.  She is coming out Tues am to see garden.

Fac

My kind daughter sent a text to us in the afternoon inviting us to fac.  (Friday After Classes)   (an ISU 1970's tradition celebrating another week gone).  I was active all day.  The kitchen was a mess, and I took care of that first.  Then I picked and put together 12 bunches of flowers for Lakeview FM.  I am selectively picking flowers so there is enough for the wedding next week.   Dustin, airbnb, came and got the keys, then headed to a Crawford creek family reunion.   At night Denny started a fire and we visited.  Beautiful night, bnbers stopped by the campfire, too.

Tired

Rose has gotten her first tooth.  We headed to Dose in IG about 8:30. I made coffee cake and brownies.   The kids helped by putting them in bags.  I put together 14 bunches of flowers.  10 sold at the FM.  Four Bible study gals came about 1:30.  T had forgotten the tape, so she went home to get it.  Great series by David Jeremiah.  I took Grands to the Arthur library about 4, Denny brought them home.  Pretty good night at FM.  Missy visited with Dad when she picked the kids up.  When I got home I just stayed put.

Barn

I was pretty worn out so Grands and I just chilled   in the morning.  Missy and Phillip are headed to Chicago to meet with someone from Team Nepal for a face to face interview.  Kids and I picked flowers later in the afternoon.  Our lunch was about 3.  The power went out for a while.  At 6:30 we went to Masters 100 year barn party.  One of the highlights was Nathan's 4 level tree house.  Cooks were coming out to the farm after meeting some friends at Zimmies for supper.  The kids were having a great time with other kids, so I checked with Missy, asked Kristen to watch Grands, and then came home for about 30  minutes to hold Jack.  I was back by 8:30.   I stayed and visited a little then we came home about 9:45.   They had lots to tell Grandpa, so they got to sleep pretty late

PEO fundraiser

Beautiful morning.  Great day for a garden party.  I headed to IG to pick up the 3 bunches of flowers that didn't sell and 3 bags of mulch.  At 10 Carol, Sandy and Kay came out to get ready.  Carol and I decided on dishes, and the other 2 got tables set up for 40 with table clothes, runners, doilies and cream pitchers.  In the CSA they cleaned up chairs that Missy brought down from upstairs.  They did so MUCH better that I would have.  They divided the flowers from bouquets into separate containers for reuse.   I chilled and practiced my flower arranging talk in the afternoon.  About 39 women were at the garden.  Beautiful evening.  They did all the food prep and serving.  I gave a talk and it went okay.  The gals used up all of the flowers that I had put in the bunches that hadn't sold.  So fun to see all the ladies just enjoying themselves in the beauty of God's nature.  Jan and Andrea come down from Cherokee.  Great pix of Jack.     Kids came over after all the gals had left.

Anabel helps

That is an understatement!! She was amazing.  We pulled weeds,, picked flowers, found 4 baby kitties, put in stakes, swept the bunk house, cleaned the toy kitchen, burned an old chair, and put everything back.  Anabel explored the tree house that MO Johnsons fixed up and painted and started a new cowgirl hideout.  I was so happy to get so much done.  She was playing in the hideout and happily came to pull weeds in the lily row.  We had orange chicken and guacamole for lunch.  It was a great day!!
