Flowers 2 for 1 at Joyce's

I went out and watered some plants before heading to school. We started watching temple Grandin in a class. Still planning to meet with OA on May 7. Kinda strange deal. Student did not get registered for WIT. New contact for student in Omaha. Starting paper on To kill a mocking Bird and multi media projects. Lord, grant me wisdom. After school I headed to Prairie Pedlar. I bough t2 light purple bee balm, 3 butterfly delphiniums, and a pink hibiscus. Then to Joyces. They had 2 for one sale. I got 80 snapdragons, 30 white, 30 blue and 40 mixed asters. I forgot to get status. Pictures from Runner with flowers:

Weed / rototil after school.

Awake to read. Start Essence of Life. Lord, grant me wisdom. Quick trip during my planning period. I put in the paper work for a personal day May 8. I plan to go to Madison with my sisters. After school I came home and napped. Didn't wake up until news was over at 6. Denny and I had a quick supper and then I went out to rototill the flower area. Denny cleaned the chicken coop for Awana leaders/ family night in a week. The fuse blew in the coop so he spent most of the time getting to it from behind the wall barn boards. I tilled and put out rugs, then planted sunflowers that I had started from seed. Phillip and Denny worked on changing the oil in the tractor. Phillip and Missy planted lots of plants. He tilled up the west garden that he had mowed yesterday. Pictures from 2005:

Love the warm days

Awake and read. Senior exits this am at school. Wore my new top from a staffer's party. I did not need to give a ride to a non driver. I called Motor Inn and scheduled an oil change after school. For PE - we did archery. Media - got ideas for final project 100 points. In Carroll I got a pink flowered serving platter 3, white casserole 3, hair dryer 3. Bag of boys clothes 2, oil change, about 5 pounds of bananas. At home I weeded lily patch. Oh for the weeds, I should have been pulling them in the rain, now when it is dry, they are hard to pull. And there are so many of them. At 9 I went out to check the mail. The Essence box was there. I spent some time looking through it. Denny changed the oil and got the Dixon ready to run. Missy and Callie went to Shopko and got Awana store stuff for older girls. I tried making some whole wheat honey bread in bread machine. I didn't go to bed until 10. That is late for me. Pictures I am so far behind putting pictures in my blog for corresponding days that I am just putting in pictures from 2005.

Happy birthday. Missy!!!!!

After devotions I read the chapter on money management. We were ready for donuts earlier that usual. Denny drove the pickup with Awana store stuff and I took the Prius with the Grands. Brooks sat with us for church. I took Michael home and then got the pizza I had ordered to Jensens. They were headed into the park with bikes after naps. I slept for a while and then went out and started weeding and preening, then watering flower beds. Denny went in and got Stangl's lawnmower running with a new spark plug. We went to camp night. Good turn out. Home to walk a half a mile together. Pictures: I know I took one of your family eating pizza, but I could not find it.

2 wedding showers and lots of rainy showers.

Denny worked in the am at Odebolt. I left for Jordan's' shower about 8:30. It looked so pretty. I (wrongly) covered clay pots on the pastel and lace table clothes with pink and yellow. Lord help me not mess up; Susan served yogurt, granola, fruit, fresh minimuffins/ etc. It was so good. From there to BC where Katelyn and Nick's shower. Very nice, too. Forgot about pictures until on the way to IG. Denny had been Awana shopping with Grands, We ate at Zimmy's Then home to mark all the store items. Missy and Phillip were in green house and so went out there until 5. I went to Lynzie's clothing party. It was nice, I bought a bright spring top. 3 resource gals came from IG. Plus Donna and Suzie came.

After school planning work

Slept pretty well last night. Lunch with Sue and Naomi at Zimmies. Need to get some fruit. Called Luke and Maybe we will head to Burlington next Friday May 1. They are planning to go to Cedar Rapids on Sat. for a 3D/ make conference. There was a coed track meet after school. I stayed and worked on lesson plans until 7. At home, I went to CSA greenhouse, Denny was spraying off the lawnmower. We walked and talked about a mile. Started on better eating. We talked to Luke at night. Denny was telling how he thinks he is losing his taste for coffee. He described how he no longer stands by the pot first thing in the morning to get the first cup off the press and how he doesn't fill and drink 2 thermoses of coffee at work. Luke replied that perhaps it is not losing his taste for coffee, instead Denny is just becoming a normal coffee drinker. Luke makes us smile. Pictures were taken 4/4

Worked out okay. Ind. Living browned hamburger and made ramen noodle salad dressing. PD went well. Talked about 9th grader orientation. Left IG at 4 with Brooks for a hair cut. I asked Mary about Kathleen. We headed to Awana. Nice bunch of girls. Later that night Kathleen called. Very interesting. I am glad she is sending a hard copy of the information she gave me. Lots of info. Denny and I split a pill before bed. It helps. Pictures of Bergman Triplets:

Busy night, motorcycle meeting, Concert in Odebolt, Home school in IG

I sure like to read in bed. At school, Lorraine subbed and so I was able to go over sub notes with her to Wed. and Thurs. Stress over media slide on zooming tips. I left school and went to the grocery store for a while. Then I went to the library and worked on the computer until the riders meeting at 5:30. Then to Odebolt to watch the kids' concert. I left after Evan had been the narrator and Anabel had sung. Back to IG to get the school car for the trip to SC. Then to the home school meeting. At home I just went to bed. Early morning tomorrow.

Missed Monday April 13

Up and read in bed. Took the Prius to school, but forgot school keys were in the Jeep. Picked up and gave a ride. Started short short stories in English. Looked up recipes on internet for Ind. Living. Need to write up documentation for absent student. After school, I headed home. Cute Brooks came in to visit while Phillip was in CSA shed. I potted some dahlia bulbs. We grilled hamburgers. Brooks wanted us to go to his house to look at his "new" shoes. Pretty cute ... the ones from the attic in the bunk house. Hand me downs. He was amazing, remembering and asking about things we had gotten when we went to Carroll together. We headed pretty much right to bed. It seems like we are always too tired. Really need to exercise to get our energy back up. Pictures from when Brooks wanted to show us his new shoes. And Denny wore Brook's hat. And Brooks and his blow gun marshmallow shooter.

Upwards BB. And fun

Short night, getting in at midnight and up by 6. Grands joined me in the living room for leggos. We were on the road to upwards BB by 8:00. Some had left earlier. Fun time to watch the kids in their 2 games and having Matt be the coach for Turin, and Becky is the coach for Haley. Free popcorn is a bonus, too. We went shopping for me after the games. I got 4 Fiesta yellow plates and a bottle of perfume. There were lots to try and I had Denny help decide. He was mainly with the boys in the playground and arcade game area. We got home and had turkey sandwiches, then naps for most of us. T&H were watching a netflicks when I got up. We watched for a while and then went outside exploring. We found some wild onions/chives along the field line and dug them up with our hands. Kinda like the book Holes. Great supper of grilled pork chops and grilled veggies. Later make your own sundae for dessert. YUM!! Nice day in Missouri.
