Visit Wild August and Donna

I walked to the sale at community building, but didn't get anything.  Mert drove Gail, Jean and me to Wild August FM and Donna Flea Market.     We ate at Texas Longhorn inn Harlingen.  Denny spent the time I was gone REALLY cleaning the interior of the Prius.   At 5:30 we were invited to Bransons for supper.  Brad's brother Mark and sister in law Kathy are visiting from Polk City, Iowa.  Really nice time.
Pretty Ranunculus at the flower garden.

Great time with Joyce and Brad and family.

Becky brought boys and some things to Kingsley and Mandy and boys stopped to say "Hi."

Nothing on today

It was a very slow morning ... SO lazy.  I didn't get up until the trailer was empty.  I went down to read by the pool and then to the park's garage sale. Nancy had the great idea for supper on the deck.  Chicken -kinda cordon Blue-  Plus asparagus and wonderful salad.  With such good food we invited Mert, Gloria, and Dawn.

They sang to me!

In the morning Denny cleaned I helped.  There were 3 at study.  ML, Hilda and SP. I took a nap and we left about 5 for the play, Love, Sex and the IRS,  at SPI.  After we got there we found out that the doors to the buffet didn't open until 6:30.  Jean called and asked if we wanted her to bring our tickets? Yes!!  Uffda.  So we got seated in the 200 person stage.   There were 4 seats in the front row, so Karen, Leann, Denny and I sat in the front and before the play started they asked if anyone had a birthday.  Denny had rigged it.  When Denny told John H.  that I had basically over hinted that I would like him to take me to the play with him for my birthday present, SO when John heard that he was like, "Let's have everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to her."  AND Denny okayed it.   Now that is the guy who told me "Happy Birthday" 2 days BEFORE my birthday (in the middle of the night.)  And also told me happy birthday a day before my birthday.  He only realized it when Mandy and Luke told him my birthday wasn't until the 25th.  When they sang to me I just laughed and laughed. What a guy!  How funny!!  BUT I did get him to go to the play with me.

Wednesday Feb 26

Now the singer woke up early again.  Luke texted me and let me know.  I was happy to get her.  Bruce fixed her a pancake.  The morning was filled with just being here.  It was kinda chilly when we ate our noon meal under the car port.  Denny took the Minn. Johnsons to the Harlingen Airport.  I went to take a nap.  LOVED every minute of having family visit.

Great lunch.  We went to Lopez grocery for avocados and cilantro for fresh C. sauce, guacamole, and sliced cukes.   Plus, Luke made squeezed lime juice.

I texted N. family with the picture of a road we traveled on with the scooter and motorcycle.

Tuesday Feb 25

Wonderful day!!!  I got up and went to park kitchen to cut of up vegetables for the gumbo that was going to be served at 4 for Fat Tuesday.  When I got back to the trailer Rose gave me flowers for my birthday.  We left for oProgresso about 10.  I drove the Prius with the gals,  Denny drove Real's car.   We had a great time shopping, eating, Karen had a massage,  Luke had a pedicure,  Kathy bought Rose a pretty Rose purse.  SO MUCH FUN!!  But we did miss the M. parade and gumbo soup.

Eating on the upper level of Canada.

Lincoln pulled himself up to a standing position for the first time in Henderson's sunroom.

Monday Feb 24 Cooks head home

I gave littles a ride around the park this am.   So fun!!!  When the babies took their am nap the other 6 went to the pool.
So when Rose would wake up she would scoot under the window shade and look out the window at our trailer.  So cute.  She also would sing and talk to herself.
Riding the trike with the Grands.

Denny also rode the bikes with the grands.
(Actually Rose had a hard time keeping up, but the start up was sure cute.)

As always quick picture before Cooks take off.

I made us eat under the carport, because I had gotten the rug/table/chairs for meals under cover.

At 3:30 Dan and Roberta had a get together of about 70 from the park.
Two Bad Apple played.  So fun!!

Sunday Feb 23

Well, the day promises to be warmer.  So we slowly got ready and headed to SPI beach.  Mandy and Jason had gone to Walmart to get kites earlier in the morning.  We spent a great time on Poinsettia #15 beach assess, where Luke and Karen got married in 2012.   We left there and ate at SPI Brew.  Then home for a swim in the pool.  Littles got their Jammies on and we headed to the Blue fire pit.  Nice time with singing, popcorn and being warmed by the fire.
The Mexican hammock chairs work well for the littles.

Thursday Feb. 20 So glad Cooks are here!!!!

Jack was coughing about 6:30.  I went into the room and he (and I) lay still until 7:10.  Earlier Gail and Bruce had left for McAllen and pickle ball senior tournament.  Denny fixed a great breakfast for the 8 of us.  Wonderful.  I watched Tyler as he napped and the other 4 went to a indoor trampoline/bounce house for Jack (and Mandy).  There were 3 gals here for study, Kay, Sharon and Mert.   I gave the boys a bath and Jason and Mandy went out for supper.   Nice night.
