Down right on target ... center of landing pad BUT a little too hard. Uffda!!! smoke and flames.
We headed to the island about 8 for the second day. It was a wonderful day, Denny said it was like a 2 day tailgate. The people around us on the jetty were relaxing, basking in the sun, eating lunches. We put our chairs on a big flat rock next to another big rock that we could put our feet upon. Lounging ... Nice. During a postponement from 11-1 we went to SOS and got a package sent, we had copies made of our Christmas letter, plus we got envelopes and stamps. It was about 4 when the "stars were alined", the count down began, and up went the starship. So good to be there. Lots of excitement from people like us on the shore. The take off noise was expected, but the smoke/fire (explosion) at the end was a surprise. We stopped at Walmart on the way home. I was tired and went to bed around 7:30. Great day!
