Snow ... No school today

I am just wondering what I will get done at home. Really wish we would have had school. Now we add a day on to the end of the year. Looking forward to kids being home. Lord, let them arrive safely. I cleaned a little, cooked a little, walked around the farm. Saw pigs east of the road and went to the unit. Dan still has a few pigs up at the unit. Went to Dad's, Went to town and got groceries. Waited for Denny to come home. He is working on a project that is due tomorrow. Biggest thing I did was get the paper work mailed in so my teaching license can have the special Ed. endorsement. Pictures are of Kane... what a cutie! Missy has a friend that tried the elf thing... I saw this and thought of Danielle.

Will the snow come????

Took Kyrstal and Sarah their Cookie boxes. Julie L. took down the Awana store. At home Evan, Anabel and i went through about 4 months worth of blogsite pictures. Then the kids read to Denny and myself, We ate some of Missy's Chicken Enchalatas. There is a 2 hour late start tomorrow. Pictures are of my younger brother Keith dancing with his youngest daughter Nancy. (The bride). Torren is watching the moves and then Nancy gives Torren a little love. Families are great!!!!

Meet you at Rec Center

I gave Missy hamballs and carrots to fix for supper. Then it was ready when Denny and I got back from Rec Center. They ate then we ate. Everybody happy. We walked around the gym with Alan H. Amazing what he has gone through ... and still is at rec center to walk 5 laps twice a day. He told Denny last time that one time he walked 6 laps and passed out it the parking lot. Still he battles on... Susan is in Bulgaria getting her Grands. Praying that all is going well. Denny had a funny bank story to tell. Pictures from Remer Christmas. Look at that fun room for kids to eat in. So much Christmas stuff!!! Where would you store it all during the rest of the year.

Birthday Party for baby Jesus at Remers

Went to school early because the student counsel had fixed breakfast for the staff. One student left the building when he got upset. He did come back. I got google doc going for the careers class. AFter school I got the tire fixed on the jeep. Then to Arthur to set up the store with Lozier 6. Then to Remers for a pot luck meal. The kids were in awe of the house and things they could look at and touch. Pictures are fun to see.

Wrote Christmas letter

I should have gone to bed earlier... 'cuz I still woke up at the same time. Uffta. Pretty sad morning watching the news of Newtown. It breaks my heart. Then trying to write about our life and loss this year. I wanted to put pictures of the folks in the letter, but I had to look through a lot of pictures... and it was sad to realize our loss, and the terrible loss of Newtown. I spent a lot of time with tears. So sad. I made 3 pans of cinnamon rolls and straighten out the cupboard. I started to print out letters. The printer stopped working. I left at 4 to join Kara making cookie boxes for Awana girls 3-6 grades. Jana joined us and we each took a different town to deliver the boxes to the girls. Missy (Jehse) made chicken fajitas for supper. YUM!! Denny cleaned the kitchen area. We chilled out in the coop for a while. Pictures of family in Dubuque.
mily in Dubuque.

It's a Friday

Got to bed later than usual, but we had a great visit with Lisa N. I got three breakfast pizzas at Cenex for staff 8 am meeting. One English student was gone again ---making 3 days absent this week. Another runner was absent, making 2 days here this week. Another student was gone with wisdom tooth issues, 4 1/2 days this week absent. Uffta!! These are kids who need to be in school. After school I went to the bowling meet. Pretty fun to watch the kids bowl. I talked to Galen to see if any one needed at Thursday night bowler. Just checking. At home Denny started to make Zuppa for December 22. I baked some cookies for Awana plate of cookies for 3-6th grade girls. About 9:30 we visited with multigenerational family up in the sun room. So nice. Pictures of the wedding reception. First of all Grandma Gail and Amelia then... How many receptions have a live beaver... or fish ... or turtle ... or snake and a stairway for bride and groom to come down?
