Long day

I was in bed a good 9 hours. That helps my day a lot. But it was still a long day. 2 English students here, but not reading the best. A student left after 1st hour and needed to be found. Class room discussion on Attitudes did not produce better attitudes. Student who needs review time in Math was not in school this afternoon. UFFTA!!! Lord, help me be a better teacher. Pictures of friends and families.

Lots of kids gone at school.

I slept a long time last night. Hurrah!!!  When we went outside to visit it was chilly.  Tomorrow will be chillier.  Two English students gone today, plus one from independent living, plus one that I needed to talk to about an IEP.  Cathy thought I did a good job on his IEP.  Now if he comes to school so we can get him improving his grades in classes.  After school I stopped  by the hospital for information on  a charge I got in June.  Then home,  Denny washed a repo truck.  I made some salsa.  Too soon to bed time.  Pictures from baby Kane visit.  MIss them so.

Sunday am with Jensens

Got up much earlier that I wanted, but it was a beautiful am and great to have my one a day out on Jensen's front deck. It has almost been a year since Howard died.  Sad time thinking about them. Miss them so much. Laurie came out and Denny and we had coffee on the deck and visited.  About 9:30 we headed home.  I am overwhelmed by my life and the things that I don't do well.  Lord, keep showing me.  I can't do anything without you.  Home and Denny and I went out to look for the leak on the well line.  I think that we found it.  Two is better that one.  I helped him.  Later in the afternoon I could not get a file to download to an IEP.  He helped me.  Two is better that one.   Thank you Jesus.  Keep leading us through tears and fears.  Prayer time at 6.  PIcture:  Two peachy ladies.

Iowa State vs ... Somebody

I got up and Denny fixed us breakfast that we ate on the deck.  Beautiful am.  Project:  my flower bed.  First I spread out some of the fertilizer then I took the tiller and ran it about 6 times back and forth.  I don't think it will be too hot and kill the bulbs that I plan to plant at the end of the month. But boy do we need rain.  We left about 12 for Ames.  Once there we past the road to Jensens place, thinking we would find a closer place.  Wrong.  So we went back and parked the car there and walked the 2.1 miles to the tailgate area of the stadium.  Mandy had the bike there.  Present for Jason.  It brought smiles. Best part of the night was visiting with people, especially Schrums while everyone else was at the game.  I also like playing catch with the football after the game.  The walk back to Jensens was eye opening.  So many college students out and about.  Really made me think... How many of them know Jesus?  Lots to pray about.  Nice night.  Good to be staying here.  Jensens' house is so homey and comfortable.

Just lookin' 'round IG

Nice to get up and have Jason and Mandy around. Evan and Anabel checked out the bikes alittle in the am. School was school. At 4 I headed to Old town and took some flowers. Then to Skate Palace, then to Olde Towne, Then to Prairie Pedlar. Lots of going and Lots of looking.

Half day of personal leave

Nice to visit with Mandy this am,  got to love those small times together.  Denny, Mandy and I were out on the deck.  Headed to school.  A student and I went to the grocery store during second hour.  Lauren's grandmother died.  At 11:30 Andrea came as my substitute and I headed home to go to Omaha with Mandy.   We talked nonstop on the way down.  And got lost several times because we were talking, but we were late to nothing and had a great time.  Looked at garden archways in Mo. V.  Went to about 5 thrift stores.  Mandy had a visit with an online school.  We looked at wedding stuff and ate at Kathy and Rory's.  We found 2 bikes for Jensen kids, got lost again, and made it to the airport to pick up Jason by 9:25.  Jason and Mandy talked all the way home.  What a great day.  Also, Praise the Lord, Katelynn L. got a heart transplant today.  Please continue to pray for this sweet 6 month old and the family that lost their child.  Thank you Jesus for the gift of life.  Messed around with some Hawkeye/ Cyclone flowers before getting to bed.  Wonderful day!!!   Missed CSA pickup, but Lynzie took our share.
