Jack all day!!!!

I slept until 6:30.  Beautiful morning.  Denny fixed Jack breakfast about 8,  We visited with airbnbers Tina and Mike before they went on a car tour of IG area.  We headed into town to take the 4 wheeler tire to Carlyle Tires.  I let them off at the purple park and went to Another Dose. The  tire shot guy had a used tire to replace the one we took in.  Brownies ice cream before we came home.  Naps and more play time in the afternoon.

In IG at 5:15 to play pickleball with Sue.  When I got home all was quiet.  Jack didn't stir until 8.  I sat in his room quietly for a while until he got up.  Denny fixed breakfast.  It was sprinkling and so we were inside. Phillip had his phone go over a cliff, so they are in need of another.   Denny called Lisa VK to answer Awana questions from her.  Sounds like Mandy and Jason are having a good time in their old stomping grounds.  Jack and I did go outside while Denny was working on Awana for next year.  After lunch Denny went to mow at Cherry Creek. After naps we had more of the same fun, The 4 wheeler had a flat so we had to help G'pa bring it home.  Jack took a boat ride before supper, shower and books.  Such a fun day!!!!

Start of a four day Jack visit

In to IG for AM mix.  I stayed until Dose opened and got 3 pillows that I hopefully will be able to cover for the patio area.  At home I tried to move laundry thru and grilled pork burgers and asparagus for a quick lunch when Cooks were coming thru on their way to the airport.  It is Nicole C's wedding this weekend and we get to watch Jack.   What a fun day.  Jack fell asleep on the way down here.  When it was 1:30, I put him down and laid in the bed beside his portacrib.  I dosed off and on, I don't know that Jack slept, but he was happy just to rest for an hour and a half.  He'd sit, stand, lie down, and sometimes talk.  When we got up Denny was done fixing the ceiling tile in the yellow room in the basement.  We went out to mow.  Jack rode with G'pa and got a nap amid the bumps.  More playing, it is so fun to watch him play.  Supper, Shower, Book and Bed. What a great day!!!

Up for pickleball wtih Sue.  Bless her heart for joining me.  After the sauna I headed home.  Denny and I kept busy all day getting stuff done.  Major stuff!!! Did you know that Denny is the Master Fixer?  His latest achievement was fixing the Dixon lawnmower.  Amazing!  Then he went on to move the cement squares taken from the sidewalk and position them with the precision of a master artist with the bobcat.  AMAZING!!  He put them by the diesel fuel tank.  Looks SO good.  Then he went out to work on the coolbot and determined (he hopes) that it needed a new sensor cord.  He grilled brats and asparagus for our guest airbnb'er Courtney T.  She is planning to be a missionary to the Dominican Rebpulic and is raising support and networking at Mission Central andd Charter Oak tonight.  I touch up painted the PWF sign, planted Teddy sunflowers, picked asparagus, called Breck with the plants that didn't grow, planted moldy glads, cut some of dead branches off the smoke tree, took toys out of bunk house and sprayed them off, fixed the rest of supper and set the table out of the wind.
OH, yes, and Jack is coming tomorrow to spend a couple days when his parents go to Colorado for a wedding.

Trip to SC

Up for AM mix.  Then at 7 Lynn, Kathy L. Pam L. and Janessa and I played pickleball.  I worked at OGT from 8:45 -10:30.  Next destination SC for an Eye appointment.  Yes, I have the start of Macular Degeneration, but 90% of people do not progress any further.  And My taking of Areds 2 helps those odds.  But once MD starts it is not treatable and taking the eye vitamins is too late.  I stopped at Lowes and got a box of basement ceiling tiles.  I was hungry for Chinese so I got some orange chicken to go.  I had a 2:30 appointment at the Siouxland Health clinic to get my second shot for .  Those shots will last my lifetime.  On the way home I called Julie to cancel on golf, because it was too rainy and cold.  When I got home Denny went to Bomgaars for a part for the Dixon.  I started on the bunk house.  Then I helped him in the machine shed.  Oh, My, It take us soooooo long to get down on the floor to work on the mower and then back up.  It's like SLOW motion.  We got the 3 pins put in the L bracket only to find out it was not right.  Uffta!!!  Well, guess we know what Denny will be doing tomorrow.

Thankful for this day

Rec center at 5:30.  Pickleball with Lynn, Lane and Janessa (Tiffany L. daughter) until 8.  At home we got a video of Missy sweeping.  Denny blew and sprayed cement by CSA and coop.  I Miracle gro'ed plants, moved path rugs, moved panel supports, weeded,  Full wonderful day!!! Mike I. came to fix antenna for TV, but his battery lost charge.  So we are still not getting good tv reception.  At 6 we went to Chase R. open house for his finishing house.  Nice burger and chips for supper.

Denny's day to travel to places and back home

So after Denny's shower this am he went down to the bnb.  Oh, My!  Three ceiling tiles from yellow room had become water logged and fell to the floor.   He did some exploring and yes, the bathroom sink cold water under the counter hose was leaking.  He got it stopped and a fan on the floor in the basement.  We headed off to SS.  After we got there, he determined that he should have turned the water off to the house in case something would happen when we were gone.  So after traveling to church he headed back home.  There was a picnic dinner after church and a business meeting.  Then we headed back home.  He worked on the plumbing and we went into Bomgaars to get parts.  After we loaded the cart to check out Denny realized he didn't have his wallet and card, so we went back home.   He turned around and traveled to Bomgaars and after making the purchase he went back home.  Well, he was tired of driving, so I drove as we traveled into 5 pm yoga and back home.  We had Mexican pico for supper and are now heading to bed.  The first 3 sunflowers bloomed today.  And one tip of a yellow snap dragon.  Good day in the Midwest.
