Happy Father's Day and Jensens in Ida County

Happy Father's day to my DAD

I was awake from 2 on last night.  Melotonin doesn't work for me.  I even read my phone app of DAB and didn't fall asleep.   At 5 I got up, put away clean dishes, made coffee, picked flowers and put basket together for church, picked asparagus and came in to get ready.  After church we went to get groceries and gas.  Then home for putting away food and naps. Jensens came around 6:30.  YES!!!  Sophia J.  drove by to see if Anabel was here and so they stopped.   It's so good to have Jensens here!!!  Anabel spent the evening with Sophi.

Alyssa Shower

Quiet time is filled with bird chirps.  So nice. I headed to Joyces and go the around 9 when it opened.  Vegetables were 50 cents so i got  24 Jalepinio, 12 tomatoes, 6 cukes and 24 snapdragons, 18 asters and 2  $3 basil plants.  I went to Ig to get a jelly roll pan for Alyssa and then home to engrave it.  It was scheduled to rain sometime today.  When I got home from the shower.  I told Denny, I hope these get planted before the rain.  BUT we were cleaning our upstairs and we continued to clean.  .  I worked on the kitchen.  Denny had started and continued to do everything.   Well, we got it cleaned and the plants in the ground and we did have a great slow .6 inches of rain.  Thank You Jesus!!I had looked in the weeds of the spinach row and did find some spinach, radishes, and basil plants growing.  We chilled on rockers, watched the rain and had a great supper.

Flowers for Alyssa

Wonderful morning.  I kept busy all day.  Denny mowed and I did flower gardens.  He also paneled the toilet area in bunkhouse.  I mulched the front area of our home.  I got rid of some weeds ny the hammocks.  About 5:30 Beth and Alyssa came to put some flowers into rose bowls.  The flower turned out fine.  We headed into IG for supper with Goldsmiths.  ;The Grands has been corralled all day and so when they said let's walk to the purple park ... off we went.   The kids had a great time and Luke came and got us before supper.  Wonderful gyros!!

Cherokee Boys

Up.  Denny beat me up.  Actually he got up before me, not battling beat me up.  All because his car needed to be taken to Kiron and I could help him IF I could take him before 6:30.  He did, I did, and I was headed north at 6:20.  Fun day.  The boys had dentist  appointments and afterward we walked the streets.  Destination was the museum when it opened.  Lots to look at.  Boys had fun putting on the space costumes.  Then we went to New Leaf, ate lunch at the school, and headed to the pool.  At around 3 G'ma cho cho met us and I made a quick trip to Bomgaars and home to put the casserole in the oven.  The kids played at the pool park and then we went home for supper before going to Tball.  I drove to BC  to watch Stella pitch.  They lost to River valley;  I do love to watch softball.

OGT

Early devo.  One cardinal at the feeder once.  OGT.  In the afternoon I started by painting the porch floor. I was active all afternoon with planting the gladiolas (total was 190).  That's a lot of flowers.  I planted the dusty miller and red/yellow  and melons and butternut squash that I got at Thistledown.   We had a great meal of brats, lemon-salad, and asparagus.  I made 4 batch of dill onion buns to freeze for the 50th.  I ran the tiller and tilled around the flower gardens.  Denny cleaned the garage.  Uffda!!! Full day!!

Keen agers golf.

I headed to the Lake City Golf course about 8:30.  it was a fun morning.  I played with Marilynn from Sac City.  it is the second time i've played with her.  I wore the elastic when I swung the golf clubs.  At hole 7 the gal we were playing with fell and skinned her leg.  Colleen and Donna went to the ER.  Marilyn and I scrambled to play 4 balls.  We ended up shooting a 42, third on the second flight.  $2 pay off for each of us 4.  We gave the flowers to Colleen.  I stopped by Thistledown before going home and bought some melons, dusty Miller, red/yellow, and butternut squash.  I was home for a while and then went to Battle Creek to watch Stella play softball.   They lost.  It was a sad game for Renea.
