Awana

Sanity and insanity workout. At school I had 6th hour English class. After school I went to Wall Lake for a hair cut, then Awana. Talked to Susan about home school. Yesterday my computer hard drive quit. Today Doug said he could not retrieve any on the information on my laptop. So I am bummed. Very bummed. Uffta Bummed. Pray that by some miracle the files could be retrieved by Rick's or Doug. Pictures from family night 2003 Awana.

visit to Hog unit

I started my sanity workout last night. Finished it this am. ... then insanity. My computer hard drive quit. I am to use a silver laptop. Runner was not in school today. One student finished his I Assessment during detention. Went to rec center to meet Denny after he got done visiting hog unit. I ran/walked 8 and biked 8. At home we had fabulous pork burgers and Chinese salad. This is the first morning I am encouraged about weight loss and I wore looser pants... so I feel good about the progress on insanity. Great meal and talking to Denny at night. Pictures are from the unit August 2003/water line worked on.

Happy Birthday Anabel

Anabel you bring sunshine into our day. We are so thankful you are a apart of our lives. Happy Birthday. Denny left this am for Omaha, his final check up for surgery. I had sanity and in sanity workouts. At school we fixed mac and cheese, acorn squash, and wacky cake. After school I went and talked to Dr. O. Quick stop at grocery store then home for a 5 year old birthday party.

Super Sunday

Sanity and insanity workouts. Donuts with grands and Missy, Denny was working on Estate information. After church Laura, Denny and I went to Subway. I biked 15 miles, Went to Financial Peace. Then swam 1/2 miles. and went to Susan and Gordons' to watch the super bowl. Wonderful food and time together. Oops forgot to take a picture. Usually I do. I am really slipping. Jensens went to SC to get pictures taken at Portrait Innovations and Anabel's early present... her ears pierced. Missy got her ears pierced also. Pictures are of the pierced ears from Missy's blog.

Road trip to get our HD

Up and headed to the rec center. I biked 29 miles and watched a movie on family time. (bummer, I didn't stay until the end of it.. I am assuming happily ever after.) When I got home a neighbor girl asked to borrow a cup of flour. Then she came down to ask it there was a job she could do to earn treat money for skating party later today. So cute to have her vacuum. I know L&K really like their roomba ... but I could get real used to a soon to be 5 year old vacuumer. It was taller than her ... but she will grow and at $.25 a room it is a win win situation. Denny and I are headed to Algona to get the Harley, then to Okobogi to look at a trike. Fridays are always good

Sanity and insanity workout. Beautiful sunrise. I stopped by track field to watch it before heading into the school. An hour and a half of Iowa assessment to start the day. It was "Wear red for heart health" today. One independent living student had hives yesterday and so went to the doctor today. The other one walked out of class. Shaun has sick kids, Her student is not here today. I stopped and visited with Kathy L. about HS HS. We had a great assembly today. Twins big buys.. 6 foot 6 inches that weighed 300 pounds. From FCA. Good message for students and teachers. Hope all heard and applied it. I was going to head to Decorah with Jean and Katie, but Katie had a cold and so the road trip was cancelled. :( At school I read geography out loud and did 5 chapter quizes from 4-6 pm. Then home, we invited neighbors down for snacks/supper of corn dogs, root beer floats, dill pickles, cowboy caviar, salsa cheese dip, pork chop and potato casserole. I told Phillip I would buy a bunch of asparagus, if he would plant it. Denny seemed to think it would be cheaper to buy asparagus roots than to have another broken ankle. So true. Made us laugh. We started a Netflicks movie, but when we went to bed, Denny fell asleep and I watched the end of it until midnight. Pretty late for me, but I do like to watch movies. Motorcycle to Algona

Sanity and insanity workouts this am, but I was a little slow in waking up. At school I made arrangements with other teachers to help me with Edco and Promethian board. Iowa Assessments first hour of school. One English student was gone, one student left before 4th hour, two students had doctor's appointments. I met Denny in Arthur at 4 and we headed to Algona with the motorcycle trailer. Called Jean on the way and made arrangements to go to Decorah with them tomorrow until Saturday night. That is if Katies cold is better. There is a trike in Okobogi... perhaps the right color. Denny bought me an outfit for my birthday. HD We ate Chinese in Algona. Really a nice date night. But right now we are headed right into the wind and it is bucking our truck pretty well. We should get home about 10:30. Much later than my regular bed time. But a great night.
