On the beach

Great day in the Valley! Watched insanity. Bruce subbed. We explored/ experimented with Gail's I pad. Then Denny and I headed to the beach. We started at beach access #3 and walked up to the wedding site at Access #15 Poiensetta. How can we have such fun popping jelly fish that are washed up on the beach??? Now back to Brownsville. Valentine dinner at 5. Dance at 7 after the dinner. It was fun. Pictures are of at the beach and Denny and myself after the dinner and Gloria and myself before the dance.

finished my second ironman in 10 days :)

Sanity and Insanity … Full day … I brought Panera bagels to resource room. Gals really enjoyed them. Then shared some with Lauren and Dillan English class and 6 students in success. Susan shared about her family and tough love. After school I went to Malcoms and looked into ordering totes for HS families. Then to rec center and did last 4.2 miles on eliptical. Then to the motorcycle meeting to see Denny. Then to rec center to swim a mile. Then to home school meeting. I started home and called Denny. He wanted to leave his bank car in Arthur. I drove there and filled with gas. He met me at the bank and we drove home together in the jeep, leaving the bank car in Arthur. At home we had to make arrangements to have care for our livestock… The animals are not really our livestock because we don’t really like them, but we have the two cats in the garage. On Saturday Denny, Missy and kids cleaned garage of cat poop and sprayed it out. Now with us being gone for a few days, Denny is wanting to give the Grands a place to learn the value of work and a dollar … or the value of a dime. That is what he thought the going rate would be for using the scoop and removing the poop. He had three takers. The two older went out with him to have the job explained. The third also went to the garage .. but a step behind and so Brooks did not get in on the earning of the dime. He was quite insistent that he wanted to get a diamond, too. So Grandpa found a task for Brooks and he proudly went in to have his mom put his diamond in his jar for money. Pretty cute. Denny left 10 dimes for daily poop scooping and cat feeding. Then we headed down to pack and go to bed. I am pretty tickled that I completed by second iron man triathlon. In 10 days. 112 miles on bike … 26.2 miles running and 2..4 miles swimming ☺ Very tickled. Pictures

Missy and I were both at board meeting

Sanity and very slow/ low impact insanity. Left for school a little earlier so I could meet with a home school family. One student felt sick in 1st hour and so he went home. Another student didn't make it. A student with a math goal's mom sent an email, He had 5 D/F's and she wants sped staff to step it up. I brought bagels to school and forgot hazel nut cream cheese. How could I do that? Bagel will have to wait to be shared until tomorrow with cream cheese. Met with Cathy after school. Then to rec center for a quick couple mile run on tread mill. Then home to get cleaned up and to head to Odebolt. As I drove there I wondered was the school board meeting at 6 or 6:30 (I thought it was 6:30, but the fear of being late stuck its head in mine). Missy was there with 3 eighth grade students getting the okay for a TAG field trip to Minneapolis in April. There were 5 of us from the SPED department that shared what was going on in the different buildings. I spoke last. I guess it went okay. Denny got back from the bank just a few minutes before I got home. He had a 5 pm meeting with a customer. I should have packed, but didn’t get it done. Pictures from July 2003 Fireworks at farm.

donuts and one sweet grand during church

Sunday…Missy and 3 grands rode with us to church. Phillip is on his way back from Rochester/ Minneapolis. We ate the donuts at Sparkies. What a sweet time with Brooks during church. He just snuggled into Denny’s lap and then during the sermon he sat beside Denny and leaned on him, curled up and slept. So cute. After church a quick bite to eat. I went to Financial peace. Denny went to bank to work on LPS. I went to Rec center and ran/ biked for a while. Pictures are of Grands before SS. They sit and watch the praise band practice. Evan reads his Bible and has it lying across his lap. Brooks was so cute lying against Denny during church. The next pictures are from Anabel's birthday. Three kids with a card they had made and Anabel in her new princess dress.

A trip to SC for HS

Got up and worked on an IEP. Then to SC by 8:40 so I could meet a mom that was having a surprise birthday party and couldn't come to the get together at 1 at Panera Bread. I splurged and got my nails shellacked... or something like that. Then to Peak performance to get new tennis shoes. Then to gt a bag of clothes for $4. Then to Panera Bread. One mom and dad, 2 more moms and 6 students. I told them I was just the message bearer.. Tubs and inventories will be needed to be turned in in May and picked up in August. Uffta! Called Denny on the way home. He was busy most of the day. Sprayed off/washed 3 cars... a motorcycle ... and a tractor. Missy and kids were out all day. I stopped at rec center and swam a mile ... the biked 14 miles. Then home for a bite and back to town to watch the girls lose to Cherokee. :( Nice quick phone call from Luke today ...................................................................................................... .............................................................................................................................................................................................. Wade Hanna Water broke at home. If you know Betsy Newhouse-Hanna's history of speedy deliveries, we knew we were in big trouble. Got kids and everyone in car, decided that was dumb and got out and called 911. Put a cartoon on in the TV room and Dad was in position in the other room with 911 on the line. Paramedics got there and 3-5 minutes later Molly was born. Kids never noticed. Took a leisurely ambulance ride to the hospital. Other than that, a normal birth. Everyone is perfectly healthy. Friday, always good.

I did really low impact insanity. The outside of my left ankle hurts. One student came, but left before 4th hour. Independent living started to fix ramen noodle salad (dressing and chop the cabbage)After school I biked 25 miles and went to pick up pizza for Missy and Joyce and kids. Phillip left last night to go to Rochester with his folks. Missy came down and visited after kids went to bed ... it was so nice ... Pictures from family night 2003 .

Day went okay. Found lost info :) Thank you Jesus!!

Sanity and insanity workout. Hurrah!!! Doug came in about lunchtime ... and had the info from my downed computer. Made my day. Made hot cocoa in independent living. First track meeting. I met with Larry afterwards about assistant track coach. Denny and I met at the rec center. I walked/ran 4 and biked 4. Pictures from Awana family night 2003 I think.
