2 hour late start

The kids came down and made donuts with sugar.  I stopped at First State and then UBI and transferred.  The day went,  After school I went to the rec center and was on the elliptical for 50 minutes.  Then I found out that they were having a triathlon contest again this year.  So I rode the bike for 17 miles.  Then to Francie's for lesson number 2.  Fun with Lynn and Toshi and Endrulats. Home much later than my usual 8:30 bed time.

Too cold for school

Yesterday they canceled school for today.  -20 degrees is pretty cold.  Denny's bank car didn't start so he took the Jeep.  I did not accomplish very much.  I talked to Mandy this am ... so that takes care of the contest. I straightened by dresser drawer, and helped Missy as she went through clothes in her closet.  I finished the Boxcar Children Houseboat Mystery, Missy and I ordered the 2013 blog book.  Talked with Phillip about flowers for CSA. Made Chicken enchlatas for supper.  Made two batches of ice cream with Missy's present.  Just makes a small batch. Pictures of Jensen's Christmas trampoline.  The kids have saved egg money, They had about half of the needed money.  Parents put in money. The elves put it together on Christmas Eve.  On Christmas Day the Grands came out after all the other presents were opened. They were so excited.  Throughout the afternoon, the kids put on their coats and went out to jump.  The bad part was that Evan and Torren got locked in the shed, the door wouldn't turn, and I went outside and heard this hollering,"Help, Help". They were happy to get out of the building.

Sunday

I was reading the book in bed when Anabel came down at 7 am.  She had put on her pink joggings, pink t shirt,  pink cotton skirt,  carrying her little pink ice cream purse, and wearing cowboy boots.  She wanted me to put Laura braids in.  At first I sent her back upstairs until I finished reading my book.  Then I realized how selfish of me ... These moments don't come around every day.  So I blew the train whistle (our cue for welcome to the basement) and down she came.  We pressed her shirt and short skirt, Denny polished her boots, and I braided her hair.  So much fun.  At 8:30 all three came down before heading for donuts.  They decided on cream filled donuts that they share, instead of cake donuts that they each can have one of.  HS SS class talked about impact.  It was Brooks turn to sit with us in church.  It was Van's birthday.  Missy asked for a bag of my farm sweet corn to take for lunch with Lynn, Toshi, Jensens, and Salizarnos. After church Denny and I had soup, and naps.  Called Gail, Jean, and Susan after I finished reading the book by Donald Miller "A million Miles in a Thousand Years." The book is 250 pages long and I did not see any purpose in the book until after about 214 pages.  Then I saw that it was a profitable read.  Basically "Make memories in your life with those you love".  Denny has had a  heater running in motorcycle trailer so he could take the Harley to Awana Wednesday night for a challenge to clubbers to finish their books.  He is headed to deliver bike to church and work at the bank.  We do not have school tomorrow ... too cold ... and 2 hour late start on Tuesday Pictures of Laura with cowboy boots, Children's choir in church, Brooks sitting with G'pa.

Relaxing Saturday ... at least as relaxing as you canget when you are headed to Carrolle by 7:45

Oh man, I had this day's activities all written and did not save the changes when I uploaded the next page. UFFTA!! That's how I learn. I really wrote a lot of nice stuff too. Hope I can remember what I did yesterday. Yup, I was up at 7:45 to ride with Jensen's to get groceries in Carroll.  Phillip had left about 4 to deliver gilts to a farmer near Boone.  Kids and I spent about an hour at New Hope.  They got the drill down.  Brooks rode in the cart. I am ready to give up. It just froze as I tried to post some pictures. Pictures of Christmas gifts.

Friday YEA!!

It is cold.    UFFTA!  I looked at the regiment for Weight loss contest,  Double uffta!!!  Lots of rules.   On the way to school I realized I had not put on makeup this am. Oh well. I was so caught up in weight loss contest. Another day at school. The office tried to call and no connection. Phone cancelled or perhaps bill not paid. ???'s Met after school with Cathy to get caught up with probe entry. I was planning on working on school work, but I am here muddling through the students' probes. My head hurts. Got a call from Susan. Need to get home school mom's order. Left probe meeting to head to Francies. Her husband Kent joined us in fox trot lessons. Home to eat because I was starving. Then to Rachel's to take Susan a heavy box of supplies. Back at home by 8:45. And off to bed I went ... Denny stayed up and watched TV. Pictures of Luke and Karen's Asian meal. YUM!! They shared left overs with a happy niece and told her all about the meal. It was so good.

Back to school.

Up early to get to school by 7:15. We got most of assignments done. Now comes the job of having the students change their schedules for one reason or another and the adjustments we will have to make. After school I headed to Francie's and visited with her about the kids present for us. Then to grocery store. Then home with our first spit-grilled chicken. It tasted pretty good. Pictures ... Memories from Texas.

Happy new year Welcome 2014

Slept in until 8. How wonderful. I texted RR gals and we decided to meet tomorrow at 7:15 to assign classes and study halls for the staff. Denny had done an amazing job on cleaning the apartment. He put up a new shelf for microwave, washed all the bedding, vacuumed all the bed with the new Kirby, put bed in furnace room down and away. You name it he cleaned it. He is a keeper. Gotta love that guy. About 3 we headed to Kim and Curtis L.'s. Nice bunch of people there. Home and to bed. But Denny started a movie. Hard for me to get to sleep and hard for me to stay up knowing that school starts tomorrow. Pictures of the deck on Sunday night and Bruce giving his test on Valley happenings.
