Grain bin

Good bye!!!
Home school field trip to children's museum in SC. There were 28 kids and 8 ladies.  I rode up with Susan G.  Good to visit.
When I got home the grain bin was headed down the road.  Larry D. has bought it,  Brent L. moved it for him.  I packed, picked flowers, greens, arugala, basil, bacon, and when Denny got home I drove to Savannah.  About 4 hours.  Only one stop..

Last FM; I have enjoyed it.

Up too early and because I was awake, I might as well start the bread machine going with dill onion bread.  Then back to bed and to read one a day.  I made brownies and packed the car.  Bible study was at my house.  The farmer's market was during Homecoming parade.  It worked pretty well.  Denny was grilling for UBI.  I went up to watch the coronation and sat with Laura.

One day last week Mandy found these pictures in her stuff.  She said I had sent them to her one time when she needed encouragement at Iowa.  Pretty fun  Even then she said,"I want to be a nurse and help older people who are sick."

Hair cut

I am having a hard time trying to decide if I should order some flowers from Breck Wholesale.  They are 25% off, but would not get here until mid to late October.  Uffta!!  It si hard to know if I will be able to dig holes in the ground for the bulbs.  This am I started to put some of the garden stuff away.  I picked flowers for FM.  The Grands came over to make sugar donuts before I went for a haircut.  I  made a pan of brownies.  I don't know why I am so tired.  Good night at AWANA.

To Carroll for car service

I headed in to IG around 8.  Bummer. the flowers I had planned to buy were no longer available.  I should have gotten them yesterday.  You cruise, You lose, Faith.  I drove to Carroll and went to New Hope while the tires were being rotated.  At home I fixed a meal for Jensens to have with us.  So good to catch up on their lives.  Denny graduated from PT.  He helped me with my new chain saw.  I walked in the afternoon and Denny and I walked after Jensens went home.

At home

After Denny left for work,  Keelie and I went 2.8 miles.  She was so happy.   I have decided to accept the wind turbines.  I plan to consider them angels.  We have named the south turbine, Howard.  He is watching over us.  It was encouraging that the song that played as I walked was "Angels". It looks like  they have up stretched arms asking God to work in our land.
I consider them a cloud of witness.  As I ran / (trudged) with perseverance, I was encouraged.

Hebrews 12:1New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,  ... let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

When I went past Charlie's place, he had lots of Monarch butterflies.  So cool, I wish they would come visit us a mile up the road.  After I got back, I worked on planting tiny lily bulbs.  At 12.45 I took Jeep in for the free oil change I won playing golf with Pete Goldsmith.  At home I mowed the lawn.  Denny came home and we chilled after work.  Then we had soup for supper.  Missy came over and ordered the snapfish book and canvas.   We listened to debates.  Uffta!!!

Fun day traveling to Decorah

Denny said it was a beautiful rain.   Just perfect!!  I thought it strange until he said he put fertilizer and weed killer on grass last night when I was watching Anabel at gymnastics.   I headed north about 8:45. The rain was really coming down as I drove on 20. I talked to Diane W in phone.  At Floyd I stopped and looked at a junk store,  I visited with someone who knew Craig and Julie L
Small world.  Nice lunch with Ann P.   In Decorah I shopped around. At a garage sale I was trying to load a $5 table in my car and the top came off. Uffta. Great visit with Lenora til 7:30. Then met Maynard and Bruce at BBQ.  We got to Bruce's as Henderson arrived.  good visit by smokey fire.  It changed directions a lot.   Mostly following where ever BH went.  Cards before going to Bed.  Great day!

FM.

Up and making big rolls. Denny was cute on bike on the deck to loosen his knee.  I made the flowers and coffee cake.  At noon I went in to get pizza to share with Loziers. Pizza in the park was delayed because Denny had gone to IG for meeting. And then a gentleman walked into bank with black coat, black bag and handed teller a piece of paper. Odd but nothing bad happened. Good short visit in the park. At Bible study. SG YP. RT. SG.  PG. I took stuff to FM, but left at 5 to join Jensens going to gymnastics. Wow starting to work on back handsprings!!

Great Leggo display.  We ate sack lunches there.  Then to 4=H camp for a tour and discussion of camp needs.  We checked into the motel and then went to A&M for a great meal.  Pulled chicken,  Veggies, humus, grilled pork chops with Cherry sauce,  German potato salad, ramen noodle salad,  Beet and spinach salad, baked apple, (that boiled over in oven making a doable smokey mess.  Wonderful death by chocolate truffle.  Great food, great people.  Lots to visit about and catch up on.

It's a GIRL and 4-H camp staff reunion

I got stuff done at home before starting out at 10 to head to Ames.  I stopped and shopped along the way.  I got suspenders and capri and dress pants for Missy.  Outside of Jefferson I stopped at Country Blessings  and bought a plastic 24 pop bottle holder.  In Ames I headed to Hogbergs and visited.  It will be a great weekend.  At four I headed to Jensens and took my stuff in, then to the motel to meet Neppls.  We went to Olde Main to eat with about 20 others.  Great to see everyone. Neppls gave me a ride back to Jensens house.  Great to visit.
