Ride with Mandy

I went to Mapleton for a homeschool visit,  Then Danbury.  The Trash and Treasure store in Danbury is mostly expensive ... and trashy organization.  I headed to Cherokee and got a salt and pepper shaker and a digital clock before heading to Mandy's.  We had avocado toast for lunch,   so good.  Jason came home for lunch and sent some ties home for Denny.  Their newly painted baby room wall looks great!!!  We headed to SC.  Mandy was happy with all we got done.  Menards return and purchases, panera bread pickup, Target return and gift card, walk thru Marshalls and on the way home we stopped at Hinton to look at a stained glass shop.  I had seen it when we took the motorcycles to JoDeans.  His name is Bogenreif twin brother to the one in Sutherland, and related to the Spencer Bogenreif that just moved to Des Moines.  Cool stuff.  I took a quick nap before 4:30 when Mandy was going to get a haircut and I was heading home.  Denny biked during the news, I body gospeled.  He fixed a great salad for supper.  Nice nite just

chilling.

Petanque

We won the tournament.  Pretty fun!  Gail and I walked 3 miles this am.  There was kind of a sky blue pink horizon.   Jane and I went to the airport to get her boarding pass and seat assignments.   Gail and Bruce went golfing.  Jane went to look at birds with the kayak.   Our team got 8 points on one round.  That was the most you could score.  We ate a lunch of leftovers.  They tasted great.  Before Jane left for the airport, we tied one on.  Actually ...  we tied many knots on  ...  the 150- 200 balloons that they hung from the ceiling for the supper tomorrow night.  At night I was ready to play bridge, but not enough people were there.  Lazy night watching the tube.

Our First Ladies walked together arm and arm today. One born and raised in America, one from the other side of the world, one a model one a scholar, one walked with her husband through his career, one has stood at a distance, one a mother of girls one a mother of a boy. One a democrat one a republican. Two very different women, they may love each other they may hate each other but today they walked arm and arm in support of each other and our country. I'm not sure what throwing bricks through windows does to change this country but I do know what acting with class and grace like these two women and supporting people with different views does.

shuffle board

Woke up and walked 4 miles with Gail.  I cut up jicama, pineapple,  and  squeezed grapefruit.  Played shuffle board.  Roger Anderson and I won 2 games, but lost the 3rd semifinal game.  We all went to the island at 2:30.  Gail and I went thrifting, Bruce went to a gym to work out.  Nancy, Jane, Dave and Jan went bird watching.  We all ate at Senor Donkey.  At home we chilled and watched TV.  Denny was working on spread sheet and graphs for pastor search committee.

Working on the storage shed

Gail had already walked when I got up.  I walked 3 miles.  De gave me a key so I could put the new 3 bags in the storage room.  I went with De and Nancy to the meeting for the food pantry.  Interesting.  There are about 12 sites that help clients.  I stopped at the church before going home for lunch.  I stopped at Gloria's and invited her for lunch.  We had leftover stuffed avocado with fruit for lunch on the deck.  It was really nice.  Nancy went to the day/night clinic and I straightened up the storage shed.  I left for Awana at 4:15.  They served nachos, chips, mandarin and peach slices, cookies and a juice box.  Game time was just play in a small playground.  About 27 clubbers came.  I played dominoes at Hendersons before Denny called. The rest of the night was spent watching HGTV.
sigh  ... happy.
