Headed home

At the hospital by 5:45.  The interns visited about 9.  Dr. Vega came about 10:30.  Nancy had not slept very well last night.  Justine came and visited after her ultra sound baby appointment.  What a photogenic baby.  All went well in the am and we left the hospital about 2.  It always feels good to be home.  Nancy is moving well, and feeling well, and not in very much pain.  She is taking hydrocodiene about every 4 hours, but will probably begin to take as needed after noon tomorrow.  Fluids are still being drained off the incision, but the amount is decreasing.  I went out shopping for a while while Nancy rested.  At home Denny met Kristina who is at the bnb for a couple nights.  He put up the new bedroom curtains in our room.  We had planned over Olive garden zuppa, salad and breadsticks.  YUM.  I worked alittle on the yard and cleaning the refrig.  While we were eating a friend stopped in and was amazed how well Nancy was doing.  Lord, we continue to pray that all the cancer was removed.  Karen sent out the nice picture of the Minneapolis skyline on facebook.

We moved to Minneapolis! New member in our family, new city, new jobs, new place for family and friends to visit. #newbabynewcity

Meriter Hospital

Worked in yard, organized some boxes of kitchen stuff by piano, took bags to car to take to Good will, brought some church tape boxes into the dining room from the car,  cut off the tall grass reeds, swept the floors, sprayed some burning weeds out on her back deck, and at 10:45 we left to take Nancy to the hospital for  a 11 check in time.   It is just a short drive (12 blocks?)  down Regents street, a street that borders Nancy's house.   Justine came to the hospital also.  The surgery at 2:45 went fine.  She got out in a little less than 2 hours.   Only glinch was when they took her to the outpatient room and not to the 9th floor where she will be spending the night.  Roseland came to visit for a while.
It sounded like there was one nodule that had the blue dye and heat from radiation injection.
Patrick made a bnb reservation.   Denny spent time on the phone with me and on the computer getting that set up for next week.

To Madison

Seemed like I was pretty busy this am before church.  Washed and put away three loads of clothes.  Cleaned the counter.  Packed my suitcase.  Packed some frozen food.  Delivered some stuff to the basement.  We went for donuts.  I headed to Madison after SS.  Beautiful day for driving.  I got a call from Luke and Nancy and I got to see their place thru a facetime visit,  Mandy called on her way to work, and Matt called to tell about his fun weekend with family.   Becky wanted a day of horseback riding and the girls rode while the guys hiked and explored in a park.  Nancy and I ate a Olive Garden.  I had forgotten how great the food tasted.  Best of all Nancy ordered Taste of Italy and we took home the entree and ate lots of salad.  Great planned overs can hardly wait for a time to eat them.  In the afternoon, Denny rode 40 miles to Carroll and back.

Saturday party for Amelia

Beautiful weather.  It seems like I kept busy all day.  I headed to church to help Rachel get ready for the party.  I cut some angel food cakes into cubes.   Then headed to Brooks soccer game.  Then back to church.  It looked so nice.  Fixed cream cheese/ choc chip dip.  Mary Kay drizzled chocolate on angelfood/ strawberry kabobs.  Missy and Kristin heated sandwiches.  They had a nice program/ceremony at 2.  Missy really wanted some sewing work done, so she came over and worked on a couple things.  I stitched my purple star quilt straighter.  I repaired their denim quilt that had seen a lot of love and miles.  Denny planted onion bulbs, he had tilled this morning.  When Missy left I mowed all of the yard.  The area across the road by the sheep barn, the driveway up to the farrowing house, and all the yard.  It really took a while ... and Denny can not believe how I can shoot grass clippings on the driveway, on the deck, up on the siding of the house, you name it ... I fling grass everywhere.  Just skilled I guess.    Then I started transplanting 6 pepper plants and 6 tomatoes and 6 cucumbers.  Uffta  I miss the CSA aready.  I planted some State Fair zinnias.  I worked until dark.  Then I took Mandy's plant out to the CSA barn to repot.  Man, when I changed my clothes, they were covered with grass clippings.  When I took a shower my hair was full of grass clippings.  I really need to learn how to catch those grass clippings OR have Denny do all the mowing.

Oh, yes and we got the text picture.  "Sun's out, Gun's out."

Home again

Another great day in the Midwest.   Thank you, Jesus, for each day you grant me.  I took Kane into preschool at 8:30 then garage saled until 10:45.  A lot of skanky sales,  guess I just don't know how to pick the right neighborhoods.  It was a fun end of the year tea for Kane.  At the last garage sale I bought a flower tall trellis/stand that hooked to a water hose and sprayed and turned the copper top around.  We met Becky for lunch at McAllisters.  Great meal.  Thanks, Becky.  I headed north and met Gail at HyVee in Atlantic.  When I went thru on Monday the 4  packs of plants were on sale for 99 cents, now they were up to regular price of &1.69.  Uffta!! I got home about 6:15.  So good to see my husband.  Grands came over for baths and we  chilled on the deck with the Jensens.  Brooks and Evan like the water sprinkler. Good day.

Mo famous persons

Another fun day!!  Matt and I walked the dog. Sadie seems to be feeling better after medicine and a change to chicken rice to eat for a couple of days.  Becky, Kane and I walked to an asparagus patch.  On the way home we got an invitation to look at Debbie, the neighbor's back yard.  Amazing.    Cool little sheds with such neat stuff in them.  All with a pond in the back ground and wonderful landscaping through out the back yard.  Check out the place on facebook Debbies back yard. Amazing!!  At 12 we left for Helena. Famous Missouri 4th grade wax figures.  Torren was Mark Twain.  Very good job.  Kane and I headed to St Joe for a while afterwards and were home when Torren  got off the bus.  Haley got home and at 4:35 we headed to piano lessons.  Next Haley had BB practice from 6-8.  Luke called and I stopped at a play ground for the boys to play, Matt joined the call.  I stopped for DQ and GS \before heading home.  Fun day!!!

Getting the algae out one cast at a time

YKids kinda slept in because they had dentist appointments this am.  Becky took boys about 8, I took Haley about 9.  Then I took Torren back to school at Helena.  I got a few things at thrift stores and picked up Kane after preschool.  We had a picnic at the YMCA playground.  It started to rain alot.  At home we rested and then played trouble.  Quick swim in horse tank.  Haley and Becky left for church and I went to the pond with the boys.  We ate roll up and pineapple and celery and  pb for supper.  Great day in Mo with the MoJo's.
