Stopped at Howard's before meeting Mandy in hospital parking lot. She had just gotten off work and was going to run the trail. At school I was about 1/4th of an inch away from giving a student a detention. Life goes on. Carlie and I went to Pamida. After school I visited Dose garage sale, Dollar general, and headed home. I talked to Gail and sisters are going to be in Atlantic tonight. Hurray!! we will meet in Carroll tomorrow. It put me is such a good mood I decided to go into a Zumba class with Mandy. What a lot of shaking going on, but I did get my heart rate up. Then I ran 2 1/4 miles on the treadmill while she did abs. Denny was changing oil on unit generator. After supper Denny visited while I gelished my nails. Quite the process, but nice time for us to visit. My, we were up til after 11, (but no school for me tomorrow).

Pictures are from our walk to Krug park, Complete with playing by the grundgy pond water, beautiful flowering trees, climbing on rocks, blowing adn making wishes with dandilions. It was such a fun time for me. What troopers they were. Didn't complain about the distance, but we were in need of a bathroom.

April 4, 2012 Wednesday

Happy Birthday Maynard!!!! Hope you have a great spring playing golf. I stopped at Howard's. I sure appreciate the bananas he lets me have every morning. He had something to eat at 5 and went back to bed. At 7 he got up and took his shower. When I got there at 7:10 Mandy was at his place lying down on the couch. He was still in the shower. Regular day at school. One student was gone from English class. Second day in a row. After school I worked on some stuff, nothing really. I came home and took at nap during the 5:30 news. Then I made supper and 3 week lesson plan sheets. Off to church. Set up tables for Easter brunch.

Mike and Brenda have a beautiful magnolia tree out in their yard. It was so great to sit around their camp fire. They have an adjustable grill to cook the meat. It worked really well.

Tuesday April 3

Mandy headed into 5:45 exercise class. I passed. I went outside and picked a few flowers then stopped at Howard's. At school I enjoyed writing abouot pictures in Comp lit II class. After school I filled with gas. So much more fun to drive the Prius and go 425 miles on 9 gallons. The Jeeps' 17 miles to the gallon is okay but... Fixed spaghetti for supper and Anabel pulled bench into the kitchen to join us. Mandy had orientation during the day today. Then she offered to watch Grands to give Missy and Phillip some alone time. Denny fixed the lawn mower and put the sprayer on the 4 wheeler while I worked on school work and an IEP. Sure is boring without pictures on the blog, I will hopefully add some later. Looking forward to a 2 schools days off over Easter. Pictures from St Joe.

Monday April 2

Stopped at Howards, He talked about cement benches. He had a good time at Manson yesterday. I met Mandy coming home from work about 7:30 at the top of a hill on 300th street. Quick visit. Regular day at school. The IEP that was scheduled for 3:30 with the mom, was cancelled, rescheduled, and then set back to plan A at 3:30 with the dad. Cathy and I entered Carlies Ia Alt into the computer. Good to have that done. I went to get vitamins at pharmacy and visited with Reatha. She said Mandy is doing a good job at the hospital and she mentioned the April Fools joke. The rec center spinning class was cancelled so Mandy and I ran the gravel road. I ran about 3, Mandy ran further and faster. Then she would come back and run with me. She gave us Grand biscuits so I fixed pizza biscuit. We ate them out on the deck. Great night, Wonderful weather, Fun to watch Mandy bounce and make scrambled eggs with Grands on the trampoline. Phillip headed into town for an interview. Grands played in front yard with hose and umbrellas. We visited with Missy and Mandy. Wonderful. M&M took little ones into take a bath. All of the sudden we had streakers carrying umbrellas to the coop. Missy had looked out front window and seen toys still in front yard. So out of the bath tub they went. So cute. They were booking, wearing nothing but a smile. Precious memories. Great weather.
I don't have pictures of the streaking, but I do have pictures of Torren and BB.

Sunday April 1

Up early to take the grands to donuts, but Denny and I fasted until 1:30 for the prayer time at church. I picked daffodils for the center communion table and for bouquets by piano and organ. Kids came into church with palm branches. I had 13 youth for prayer time while their parents were praying upstairs. 3 Loziers, 3 Barkers, 3 Hendersons, 2 Masters, Evan and Nathan. We made prayer chains of pink, yellow, blue, and green strips of paper. We had adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication request. Some of the kids took their chains home, the other chains we connected and put around a bulletin board. Missy and Phillip took family plus 2 boys to Pizza Hut. We brought Brooks home for a nap. About 5 Mandy and I went in to the rec center and swam for about 20 minutes and biked for about 30 minutes. Then I went to school to get a book, got a few groceries, and went to prayer time. Pictures: Haley, friend and Kane. Haley's team. Denny and Torren in Disney princess tent. Torren really liked for us to spend time with him in the tent.

Saturday March 31

Up at 5 to take a shower before heading to Saint Joseph at 5:30. I drove. We got to Matt’s about 7:45 am. Fun to watch the Grands play basketball. Plus, I got to hold a sleeping Kane. There is not too much better that that...except watching a mom coach a daughter who she loves very much. After the games Becky had to go to work, there was a golf clinic and baseball and softball games. Matt fixed lunch at home. After lunch Torren, Haley and I walked to Krug’s park. I lost a 10 dollar bill from my pocket and only had $1.19 in change. Instead of buying strawberries or some other great snack, we had to go with $1.19 of fruits. Torren wanted a green apple (1/2 pound at 1.29 per pound) and Haley and I each got an orange for $.25. Spent right up to $1.16 so we had 3 pennies to throw into the lake at Krug park for good luck. We ate and looked at nature as we walked to the park. It was a beautiful day. We just climbed on rocks, looked at the grungy pond, and hung out. The toughest part was there was not a bathroom open, not at the park, not at Dollar General, or Dairy Queen. (Wish I would not have lost that $10 we could have had ice cream.) But the grocery store did have a bathroom we could use. Denny, Becky, Matt and Kane were out on the back patio when we got home. Great hike. We ate Subway before heading home in the Prius.

Friday March 30

Stopped at Howard’s, Mandy was still at work. I think I met her just after I got on highway 59. Denny was expecting a full day. It is Becky’s last day at work. They are serving cake. I sent a vase of daffodils. At school I took Carlie and Lauren to Food Pride. Denny contacted Matt and we are heading down there to watch the Grands play basketball on Saturday. I worked at school until 6. Then drove home, stopped at Howard's to say hi to Mandy before she headed to work at 7 pm. Denny got home and we headed to spend the night with Gail and Bruce in Atlantic. We were the first ones to sleep on their hideabed. I’m not really used to staying up until 11, but it was so good to be there.

Pictures: Evan and Torren had a great time playing all kinds of things together at South Padre Island. I didn't get a picture of Matt adn Becky's family sleeping quarters. But I did snap the boys on their kingsize bed watching a movie on the computer. The top floor had 2 big closets, one Kane had his portabed set up in for a bed room, the other closet had an air mattress on the floor for Haley and Torren to sleep on.
