Up at 5 to take a shower before heading to Saint Joseph at 5:30. I drove. We got to Matt’s about 7:45 am. Fun to watch the Grands play basketball. Plus, I got to hold a sleeping Kane. There is not too much better that that...except watching a mom coach a daughter who she loves very much. After the games Becky had to go to work, there was a golf clinic and baseball and softball games. Matt fixed lunch at home. After lunch Torren, Haley and I walked to Krug’s park. I lost a 10 dollar bill from my pocket and only had $1.19 in change. Instead of buying strawberries or some other great snack, we had to go with $1.19 of fruits. Torren wanted a green apple (1/2 pound at 1.29 per pound) and Haley and I each got an orange for $.25. Spent right up to $1.16 so we had 3 pennies to throw into the lake at Krug park for good luck. We ate and looked at nature as we walked to the park. It was a beautiful day. We just climbed on rocks, looked at the grungy pond, and hung out. The toughest part was there was not a bathroom open, not at the park, not at Dollar General, or Dairy Queen. (Wish I would not have lost that $10 we could have had ice cream.) But the grocery store did have a bathroom we could use. Denny, Becky, Matt and Kane were out on the back patio when we got home. Great hike. We ate Subway before heading home in the Prius.
