HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKS!!!! What a great day. I met my sisters in Carroll at 9. We shopped until 11 and then ate Chinese. Then shopped some more. There was much to look at and talk about. We do like to buy stuff. The good thing about thrift stores is you don't spend much as you buy stuff. At home I called IPERS then did a quick job on mowing down the big stuff and flattening the rest with the wheels of the lawn mower. About 4 the Missouri Johnsons come from Kingsley. We fed lambs, hid eggs and waited for gpa to get off work. So much fun for us all to be together. Luke and Karen did call. They are spending this weekend in Burlington and headed up to the Country Condo in Rural Ida Grove for the next weekend shower. I'll put in more pictures of the birthday later.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
