Up early to get food on ice for the trip to Atlantic. Missy and I took flowers to church with the suburban. Then I drove it home and got ready for church. Denny rode in with Phillip to get Michael. Nice rolls before church. I rode with Jensens to Atlantic. Denny stopped and got Mandy and Howard after church. Gail had 22 for lunch at 1. It was great food and a nice time to be together. Beth and Steven hid eggs out on the lawn. Boy, did the Jensens little ones have fun hunting. They had a ball game down on the lawn after lunch. Nancy brought a craft project. We used stamps and made coasters. Phillip, Missy and Mandy went running. I watched Brooks and Anabel in the garage where the craft project was going on. Evan put legos together with Denny. Brooks was having a great time playing on the golf cart. It got quite exciting when he fell on the gas pedal and the cart zoomed ahead 6-12 inches full throttle. Luckily, nothing was hurt. Gail then took the key out of the cart. We left about 4:30. Mandy was happy to get a message that she would not have to work 7 to 7 tonight.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
