Up at 5. Read SS lesson. Looked at what I thought was a dvd ... nope, cd... Will have to keep trying. The kids came over and we read George Mueller Then outside to dig dahlias bulbs and put in 5 gallon buckets. Then Denny got the tractor battery charged. the bobcat running and kids loaded firework into a bobcat after Denny used the chainsaw to cut it. We grilled pork steaks for lunch. Phillip joined us. Missy is a mock trial meet. I fell alseep reading after lunch. Kids went out to get another load of firewood. I mowed down flower beds, Evan went with me to lower buckets of dahlia bulbs into the rooot cellar. We spread grass seed on driving area south of the garden. We pulled up rugs along the cleome and basil rows. Before PHillip left for a birthday meal in Carroll for Kris, he and the kids got rakes so kids could rake up a pile of leaves. Denny sprayed off the tractor and scraped dirt out of the machine shed. Kids played basketball. Kids roasted hot dogs in the fire and to top off the night Mike called and invited us over for eggrolls. Kids had baths, we took them over, Missy came to pick them up. We stayed and visited. Perfect ending to a GREAT DAY
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
