What's for today???

Up and read in bed.  I didn't run this am.  It was kind of chilly 48 degrees. I went up at 10 to visit Gloria.  We looked at mom's journal from 1982.   I put the pork in a crock pot and Scott, Steve and Rory came over for lunch.  It was good to get rid of some of the food before Thursday when we leave.  We took naps and after that Denny trimmed some of the bushes by the rasaca.  We pulled more branches to the front road and pulled some more branches out of the rasaca.  At 5 we went to a show, Need for Speed.  Then to Buddies for BBQ brisket.  YUM!  At WalMart Denny got a caulk gun etc to use on the light fixtures outside and the stool. Painted the old dock

Up and ran around 4 seasons. Took branches from back space to front to have Danny haul them away.  I tried dresses on at Dillard's. Denny went to Loews at home we at tamalas and started fixing railing on the deck.  He had bought me paint so I started giving it a light coat of white. Mary Jean came over to visit at 4.  I fixed food for pot luck.... They didn't have it.  So back came the food.  From 7-10 there was a St Pat's dance.  It was nice.  Good to get deck painted.  It is kind of like trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear.  Most people would think it looks tacky, but I am happy to have slapped on some paint and fixed the hand rail. Sunday in the valley

I ran this am.  It is so nice to run at 4 seasons.  Nice flat asphalt road. Don't need extra light before dawn. I can make a mile loop.  So I ran (trudged) it four times.  Nice to get that exercise 7 points out of the way.  Denny was up when I got done.  He made coffee and we headed to the Island Baptist church.  The service started at 8:15, It took 35 minutes to drive there.  Kinda fun to see two Awana circles in the parking lot.  After church we went to eat at Palms on the Beach.  It was kinda chilly and foggy.  I asked for a blanket to keep warm while I ate, and I asked them if I could take it and return it after we walked the beach.  It was needed as we walked north, but after we went a mile we turned around and I took the blanket off.  We stopped at WalMart and Mexican breakfast place before heading home.  Denny started cleaning the carpets and wood floors. I wiped off the outside of the stove and refrig.  We watched 2 movies and had tamales for supper.  Scott and Todd stopped in after they got back from golfing with friends in Corpas Christi. Hanging out at four seasons

Up and ran 4 miles early around the park.  I had not slept well last night  . Then back to bed and Denny thought I was really relaxed... Sleeping until 10:20. Went  to Mc D for breakfast and to try and hook up / update I tunes on this laptop.  Then to 77 flea market.  Bought a pineapple and jicama, and walked and looked.  On the way to Lowe's we kinda got lost, made it there, just took a little longer. We got 3 light fixtures- (two for outside by deck,  One for hall way in trailer)  Cleaning mop and product for floor.  Carpet cleaner, Some microfiber towels, light bulbs, From there we came back and started to put them to use.   Pictures of Four Seasons projects:

Stayed in bed until Denny woke up.  We had coffee on the deck.  Then we walked to La Casa de la Tortilla. They found one person in the place (of about 15 people) that could speak English.  So we asked him what to order and we ate.  It was pretty good. He brought us a sample of pork to try.   At home we looked in the shed and found a hose and car wash soap so we (Denny) started to wash off the trailer.  I went behind with a brush and bucket with soap.  Then Denny went back and rinsed off what I had put soap on.  He kept going and i trimmed some of the bushes and the palm tree.  Last year when they trimmed the big tree behind the deck, the branches just dropped in the rasaca.  I tried to pull them out of the water.  About 6 we cleaned up and headed to the Island.  We walked the beach at sunset,  We walked about 2 miles.  On the way back to the main drag we passed the theater.   I talked Denny into going to see Son of God.  It was pretty good, but Denny thought it was kind of a waste because he knew how the story ended. The movie got out at 10:15.   It was spring break and so lots of traffic.  It took us a long time to drive down the main drag.  This was not plan A, but what could you do at this point?  We did make it home, just took us a while.  Sat out on the deck a while before going to bed.  The trailer looks nice and clean. Kids shared that I had the winning points for weight loss and point total for the last 5 week contest, but having not paid the entry fee I was not eligible to receive the $10. Life goes on...  This was the first day I have really been in a predicament. As we drove to the island, I realized -  I had not drank 64 oz of water, had not had 2 fruits or 3 vegetables, and it was 7 pm, not a fruit stand in sight.  We had thought about eating at Joes Shrimp shack, (no fruits and veg. there) No big water jug available as we walked the beach.  Before I went to bed back at the trailer, I drank a lot of water... I would not recommend that to anyone.  It would be a wash if I ate fruits and vegetables after 9 and sacrificed my 5 points for not eating after 9.   I fixed Denny a hamburger when we got back to the trailer. On the way to Texas

Woke early.  Sat by the computer exercised 45 min with Insanity. Denny brought me to school so he could come and get me when I take my half day of personal leave.  Made biscuits and gravy in class.  At 11:30 Denny picked me up and we drove to Omaha.  Very non eventful trip.  Just the way we like it.  Scott and Todd were at Brownsville to pick us up.  We went to Gail and Bruce's new place.  Rory (DM) and Steve (San Fransico) were there.  They have been golfing LOTS!! Then to our trailer.  Denny thought the floor looked awesome.  Nice night in the Valley.

School, nails, Awana, Close to vacation

Nice to sleep until 5:38.  Quick 20 min of exercise.  I went to grocery store twice today, visited with a mom in the afternoon. Quick T25 workout with teachers.  Long day at school.  Headed to Storm Lake after talking to Denny.  Sa had a class.  Made it back for game time.  Went to wash the car in IG before heading home. .  Now pack and get ready to head south.  Long day.
