Denny gets an orthodic for foot

Staff meeting at 8 where our superintendent told us the school is looking at a 300,000 budget deficit for the school year. The money which has been allotted to us from the state is no longer available because the vote went against the merger. BCIG has about 1 million in savings, but in three years continuing as it is now... the savings will be gone. Actually there is a 500,000 deficit projected right now for the next school year. Now that's great news to start the day with. He said we are not stopping day to day operation (ie printing copies). Even if we did the amount of that part of the budget is only about $70,000. Changes will have to be made. Sound like the federal government to me. Only the government has not come to the point where they acknowledge that drastic changes must be made. I say better to know than to go blindly along thinking every thing is hunky dorey. I had our level 3 student leave my room three times during independent living. One gal has not been herself the past couple days ... wondering about that. After school I came home to the pickup loaded up with a boar and heading to Eastern Iowa tonight. Denny had bank meetings this am. and foot appointment in Cherokee at 1:30. His New balance shoes work well with the rocker action sole. We fed Grands and the Jensens headed to Maquokota for Phillip's Grandfathers funeral tomorrow. They are delivering the little Red Wattle guy tonight, probably about midnight. Uffta Pictures from Evan's third birthday. Missy and Anabel, Anabel and Howard, Carrie and Dan, Melissa and Jaime,
