Slept in until 7:30 Breakfast at 8 in the kitchen right beyond our bedroom door. Lots of pancakes with homemade syrup, scrambled eggs, walnut muffins, fruit salad, and coffee and juice. We packed up and went to Faith Evangelical Free Church in Prairie du Chen. We stayed for coffee afterwards, then started for home after stopping at Eagles Landing. It was a 5 hour drive home. We stopped at Menards in Waterloo to buy some more 1x4's to make window frames for the CSA building. At home I grilled hamburgers and fixed zucchini for supper. We started a 24 marathon to hopefully finish the series. What a waste of time. Yet I just want to get done watching it ,, way too much suspense and violence for me.

It was so nice and relaxing to go to Eagles Nest for Saturday. We really had a nice time for lunch just watching the boat come and go near the dock where we were eating. It was fun to walk the stores and see what they had for sale. We sat outside of the bed and breakfast and watched the Mississippi. The boat ride at sunset was so relaxing. We sat in the very front and just watched the Mississippi wild life. It was a great gift for our kids to give us. Thanks so much.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
