I got up about 6:30, went out the back door and headed to Burr Oak with the Prius. It was a pretty morning in the cemetery and I read one a day there. When I got back Craig was getting ready to go golfing. I looked around What's' New until he was ready to leave. When I went in the house Marilynn and Denny were visiting. We packed up about 9 and headed to Decorah to visit Lenora L. What a sweetheart. We stayed and talked until she needed to get ready for lunch. The drive down to Marquette was beautiful. We ate a brat overlooking the Mississippi, Walked the downtown of Mc Gregor before checking into our B&B at 3. We made reservation for a boat ride at sunset. It was very relaxing and pretty. We had gotten hand breaded deep fat fried cheese curds and 2 sandwiches to eat on the boat ride. We saw beaver houses, a deer in the river, and about 6 eagles. We got well wishes from our children upon arriving at Eagles Landing. It was a very nice day. And very nice celebration of 40 years. Pictures of BO visit then traveling to McGregor.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
