I had my devotions on the front porch. The Port City Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast is beautiful. Breakfast was at 8. The fruit cup was served in a pretty pink goblet with a sauce of sour cream and brown sugar over the fresh fruit. Pancakes, sausage and orange juice. Yum!!! Now to the harbor to catch the ferry. Denny drove the Harley on to the boat. We left about 10 and got to Milwaukee about 12:30 Central time. Lots of big trucks as we drove to John's condo. Nancy showed us a taco place for lunch. Left for Madison and got to Justines about 4:30. Such a pretty baby Amy is. She had a valve that had not closed at birth, but at her check up today the doctor said that the valve is closed now and no surgery will be needed. Praise the Lord. We talked to Nancy. She was going out to eat with book club and then having the book discussion. We decided to head to Kraus's. Great to visit with them and see their pictures and home.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
