To the new Matt and Becky Johnson home

Denny worked at Odebolt in am.  I took Prius to Carroll.  Lynzie met me there and we went thrifting.  Back home, quick bite to eat and off we went to see Matt and Becky's now home on 15 acres.  It took about 3 hours and 45 minutes.  Weren't able to follow GPS instructions so Matt met us at Sonic.  Frank had gotten lost the night before.  In the afternoon I mainly watched Kane outside while everyone else unpacked, etc.  Nice houseful of people. I guess really the house was not too full.  Matt and Becky moved from a 1900 sq ft home to this 4500 sq ft home.  Spacious and very nice.

All students in the high school now have their Chrome books

I got up at 5:30.  Had my one a day.  Then showered and went to the garden to pick  flowers and put them in the refrigerator until this afternoon.  At school pretty regular day.  I am starting to be nervous about the September  9th training for Oddyssey ware.  I'm thankful that Rachel said she would come to the training.  I met with a student during success and interviewed him for his IEP.  After school I hurried home and picked the rest of the flowers for the CSA shares.  I think it is so fun to watch families come and get their vegetables. About 7 we and Jensens ate left over cavatinni, salad, watermelon tomatoes and peachy bars in our apartment.  Denny had come in the house and made stuffed green peppers.  Great meal.  Now I should work on school and what students can do on chrome books, because they all got them today.  UFFTA   Pictures of CSA pick up families.  Two moms came with their daughters.  Reese came to get some veggies too for some one elses share. Awana training

Lots to do this am.  Went to CSA barn to get flowers.  Took out trash.  They come once a month. Packed up 5 cake pans of cavatinni, 2 loaves of bread, one oriental cabbage salad, 1 pan of peach bars, 2 bags of carrots, 1 pound of butter, 2 containers of parmesian cheese, 1 bowl of watermelon, 3 large bar pans, 60 paper plates , 8-10 tomatoes... I think that is about it.  Put them all in Denny's car so he could take them to church.  Plus he had to load all the computer ware for the power point.  Thank you Jesus for the great God you are.   I met Susan at Juvalls and she got her flowers for birthday party for Marilyn A.  Both of my English students were there.  One did come late.  School pictures today.  I was able to get on Idea.  So thankful.  Made arrangement for my first IEP in two weeks.  Today home schoolers went to Odebolt to see the school museum.  Those buildings are pretty neat.  At 4 I left school and headed to church.  We had about 30 at the Awana training meeting.  I thought Denny did an excellent job.  Gals brought great food and everyone had enough to eat.  It was, all in all, a good night.  Lord, may this year bring many youth to know, love and serve you through the Awana program.  Thank you Jesus for the dedicated workers who love you and the lost so much.  Pictures from the wedding.  Almost need a wide angle to get all of my family in the pix.  Girls at the wedding and Brooks playing Gpa's phone during the rception.

After school I went to pick up the bike that got repaired.  Then came home and made cabbage salad, 3  bouquets of flowers, a pan of peach bars, picked 8 tomatoes, and I'm tired . 6 pans of cavatini

Up for devotions.  Slept really good with 2 benadryl for rash on my leg.  YUCK  Don't really know where that came from but I have had it a couple days.  Coffee on deck until the school bus came by the house.  At school me student stayed in English ... and the whole day.  One para was gone today.  We got a sub about 3rd hour.  Uneven table in Independent living.  Met with Cathy after school.  Anabel greeted me at home; she had a swollen eye and left school early. Pretty sad that she missed going to the library.  Missy had grilled burgers and shared some with us for supper.  So nice.  I made 6 pans of cavatini for Awana night.  Denny worked on Awana then took a family phone call about 8.  Pictures of L&K deciding what glass piece to take  before they spent their big   $20 on Nan's garage sale stuff.  Maynard was putting the quarter collection stuff from Nancy in his car as card players watched. Brook sleeping during the ceremony on Luke's lap.   So cute.  And the wedding party.

Sunday headed home

I got up and headed to Nancy's.  They were on their way to church.  I looked around  a little then Missy called and they were about to head down for breakfast.  After breakfast Luke took Jensens  to the zoo. Denny and I went to a bar and grill that a customer in our area was thinking of purchasing for a relative. We met at the other hotel about 11.  We said out goodbyes and Luke took Mandy and Jason to the airport and we headed to Nancy's. Left Madison about 1 after getting a Mc D's coffee for Denny.  On the six hour ride home Jensen's slept and watched a kids Netflickes.  I worked on school and realized the book I had started seemed too violent for me.  When we got home I unpacked and   headed to school to look for another book and the grocery store for ingredients for Awana training.  Home for beneyhdryl for rash on my leg. Pictures of times with family at Nancy's. Good night.

Saturday Wedding

Its a bummer when I wake up in a hotel room and all around me are sleeping.  But I had a plan.  I know my sisters are up and they are only a 5 minute drive away at Nancy's house.  So off I go.  And yes, they were up.  We visited and then went on a 15 minute walk, all the while the one in my hotel room were sleeping.  Missy called and I joined them for a great hot breakfast provided by the hotel.  It was Denny's kind of meal.  Bacon, Eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, coffee juice, oatmeal with toppings: raisins, crasains, brown sugar. and oreo cookies,  Jason had time to kill while Mandy was getting her hair done, etc.  First he jogged to Nancy's then he joined us at the hotel for breakfast.  He jogged back when we headed to Nancy's for garage sale and family visiting.  We went to hotel to get ready for wedding about 12 and took the hotel transportation  to the capitol.  We went early enough to walk through the farmer's market around the square.  The wedding was held in the third floor.  The Senate chambers.  Quite the venue.  Family got to sit in big leather swivel chairs.  After the wedding we walked from the Capitol two blocks to the reception.  Family pictures were taken on Monona Terrace over looking a lake.   The building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.  Reception was in the Hall of Ideas.  Because Kevin and Justine met playing frisbee, frisbees were gifts to all.  Great food, fun dancing.  Fun times and pictures.

CSA pickup

Denny said it would be nice to have a cup of coffee out on the deck every morning before work. This is the second morning we have done it ... and it is really nice. We had rain during the night and so everything seemed fresh. Plus 69 degrees was nice. One student didn't come to first hour class until about 9 minutes left. Good to have him come. Students helped my fix supper for tonight. They learned about browning hamburger and fixing pasta. After school I asked Lynzie if she wanted my share of CSA and so she followed me out to the farm. Fun to see everyone come and get their vegetables. Pictures of babies, veggies, strollers  SO COOL!!! and Grands activites during CSA pickup.  Brooks helped Phillip, Anabel ate cukes, Evan was reading.

Get ready !!!! Open house

At school by 7:40 ... Just got home at 9:45. I have to realize it just takes me longer to do things like type, use the computer, plan. Denny went to the Odebolt Legion steak fry and brought some home to me. We each have about 11-12 students to write IEPs for. I have 6 different class periods to plan for. Two classes have two students of varying abilities, English 1, Math 1. There are 4 in the Independent living class. and two classes where there is just one student...science and writing. Lord, I really need your help.
