Merry Christmas

Monday December 25!!
Merry Christmas! Jesus is born.
Too bad, poor Brooks woke up about 5 am throwing up.  Denny called his folks and Phillip came and got him.  Brooks stayed at his house all day.  He felt the worst about not being able to see Kane open the gifts that he got for Kane, so Missy set up a face time for some of the present opening.
During the morning Matt also did not feel well and he participated at a distance.  The rest of us ate cinnamon rolls and opened gifts.  Denny made a brunch and we ate about 2pm out in the garage.  Denny took the kids to the sledding hill again AND later in the afternoon he got the 4 wheeler running.  That was a big thing!!!  At night we had chili and peanut soup.  Mandy made salad and Missy brought hummas.  Becky had veggies.  At night Mandy had a cookie decorating contest with a Dubuque gift from Beth.  She put it on facebook to have the general public vote for the ugliest sweater.  Missy won!!!    We played a real fun game in the living room.  Mandy set it up.  Too bad Matt was not feeling the best and so he was down in the basement.  Brooks was resting in our bedroom for the night, that way his parents could be here and not quarantined to their home.

Some of my favorite pictures/memories from Christmas time together:

Denny reading the Bible before we opened presents.  Kane was on my lap and then moved to right beside G'pa.
The family sitting and watching and enjoying each other and drinking coffee.

Missy facetiming with sick Brooks when Kane opened his gift from Brooks.  Brooks said that was what he was really sad that he was going to miss seeing Kane open the gift.  Look how happy Kane is.  Look how happy the moms were.

Uncle Luke telling Evan about the leggo choice of ammunition extra pieces that he bought for Evan.  Luke told about the ammunition/ etc.  that he had worked on and that he gave to Evan.
See Jason's turquoise socks.

Haley and the two blankets she made for her two new cousins:  SO nice!!!!

Spending time sledding,  The kids really enjoyed it.  Torren found a dorm size refrigerator and put it on a sled to bring home.  Karen and Luke came out with Rose for a "photo shoot".  It was cold and they were not out very long.

This is Sunday December 24:

I am not sure how to add a post for that day.  Somehow I forgot to post for that day.  Uffta!!!
We had biscuits and gravy for breakfast.  G'pa and I took the boy grands for donuts.  The girls stayed and played with the babies.  After church we took pictures.  For lunch we had ham balls, party potatoes, farm corn and salad.  Missy took the kids to her house to play for a while.  Some adult and infants took naps and later Denny and Matt took the kids sledding.  The Minn Johnsons came to the hill for a photo shoot.  Cooks just stayed in where it was warm.
We went to the candle light Christmas Eve service and afterwards had soup in the coop.  Zuppa in the coopa.  The Grands went to bed we had peppermint brownie.  We talked with the kids about the will we signed and gave them a nest egg $ for a visit to Brownsville.
