I miss you Mom .....
Well, lets see ... It is now 5 pm. We landed in Kathmandu a little after midnight. After our flight landed the ground, everyone in the plane cheered. We took a tram to the check in building where we showed our Covid card and passport. Then I walked to the place where we paid for our visa. 2 weeks prior to arrival we filled out our application for a 30 day visa, complete with picture in a special format. Well, between the covid check in and the visa center Denny dropped his visa application. NOW THAT WAS A CAUSE FOR PRAYER!!! In answer to our plea, someone had found it and left the $ belt where Denny could find it. NOW THAT WAS A CAUSE FOR PRAISE!! After he paid for his visa we went to the the checkin booth that took our visa and finger prints. Next we went down the stairs and entered a long line of people waiting for the customs/metal check. We didn't have to remove shoes or take computers out of the bags. When we got thru check in 2 Nepal men helped gather out 6 bags and take them to elevator to go to the first level where Missy, Phillip and Brooks were. They were quite persistant that we should tip them, more than $5. We did and pushed our bags the rest of the way. T'was great to give family hugs. It was even greater to ride in their vehicle. The streets weren't crowded at all. It was about a half hour drive to Civil homes. We unloaded car, visited, unwinded and we went to bed about 3 am. I woke up at 1:30 pm. That's alot of sleeping for me. Upon waking we toured the home, had coffee, visited, and then Brooks, Denny and I walked to get eggs and bread for breakfast/lunch/supper????. Everyone here is a little under the weather and kinda laying low. In fact, Missy and Phillip were almost too sick to come to the airport to get us. Uffda!! Thank you, Jesus for safe arrival. AND THE MOUNTAINS ARE OUT!!!
