Left about 3:30 to let off car at Avis at Omaha airport. Then the long road/drive to Brownsville. 1100 miles. 18 hour plus trip. We had a sister call at 7:30. Lord, grant us wisdom as we travel. After we stopped for gas Denny and I chuckled as we got on the road. Even though the trip was long 1) We can stop when we want to go to the bathroom. We don't have to wake up the man sitting beside us to go to the bathroom. 2) We are traveling on a smooth, non pot hole road. 3) There are no rock slides that will cause us travel delays. 3) We can get coffee with out waiting for the stewardess. 4) My computer/phone does not have to be on airplane mode. Now back on then road. We drove until dark, made it south of Austin, and I looked on line and found a place with breakfast. $118 La Quinta in Kyle, Tx. It was ok, breakfast made up for it. Denny drove a lot. 3:30 am to 7:30 pm equals 16 hours on the road. Thank you Jesus for the safe trip.
