Day 11 Oct. 2

Okay, the suitcase guy knocked at our door about 5:50.  No, it is not 6 yet.  No, our suitcases are not ready quite yet.    Bags out at 6.  Leave at 7.  My carry on bag is pretty heavy to day 'cause I didn't have my devo read and I have some cans and an extra pair of sandals.  I just have to carry it down to the bus.  Buffet breakfast was very good.  It was a long day riding across the land. We stopped for an early lunch at a food court and I ate Swiss cheese and crackers that I had packed.  Back on the bus.   We watched the movie "Rudy" to prepare us for our walking tour of Notre Dame.   It was beautiful day and the campus is so pretty.  And it was good to stretch our legs.  I was not really anticipating that this would be really good, but it was pretty amazing.  The church was impressive;  our guide said she was thrilled we got to go inside because the last few years they did not give access to inside.  Amazing stained glass inside.  After the tour we headed west again.   My phone did not a good enough signal and so when we couldn't watch Downton Abbey I started deleting old double pictures from 2012 and on.  It was so fun to look at the pictures.  SO MANY good memories.  We got to our motel about 7 and went to a wonderful buffet for supper.  They gave us $10 to gamble at the casino.  I lost the $10, but cashed in $1.70 from my winning.  Not a big earnings, but maybe I'll get a fancy McD coffee tomorrow am.   Back to the the room.  The air conditioner wasn't working in the room and our bags had not been delivered to the room yet.  Jean made a couple calls, our bags got delivered, a man came to work on AC and when it wasn't fixed we went to another room down the hall on 7th floor after we took all our stuff to the front office from the 7th floor.
Back home Denny had a SC appointment with cardiologist to look at  what may help the fact that after his back surgery the doctor said ..... " *your heart rhythm after surgery was bigeminy and trigeminy."  Over the weekend of September 22 he wore a monitor  for 24 hours to measure his heart irregularities.  In SC they read the findings and said over a 24 hour period he had 24,000 bigemies.  Uffta!!  That sound like a lot to me.  They prescribed some blood pressure medication to lower the number, so he stopped in IG to get the prescription.  It should take care of it.  And he will have been on the medication long enough so it will not effect or postpone his October 18 surgery.   Prayer for Pastor search committee and they meet.  Lord, may all be right in the center of your will.

Okay, so this was the most decadent dessert ever!!!  German chocolate and pecan pie cake.  Uffta!!! My face cheeks felt expanded and puffed out and fat ...  just taking a bite of the killer treat.
