Got up about 6:30 and took bikes to the park and then through the park. Mandy has a bright orange one speed that I used, Mandy used Nicole's bike. In the park there is a rec center where we swam for about a half hour. Then back to finish packing. Denny is driving the motorcycle through Kansas on the way home. Mandy's friend Laura came and gave us a ride to the airport. On the flight to Madison I sat next to and talked all the way with Jill L e frenz. Her parents have a u pick flower garden in eastern Iowa. So interesting. Nancy picke us up at the airport, we ate a restaurant on the way to Justine's sorority. There we helped decorate. Back an Nancy B.'s we looked through her garage sale stuff. All three girls thought they got the best stuff. We had a great time looking. At 7 one of Nancy J.'s friends was singing at a VFW. So we went there to watch. Then to Olive Garden to eat. After we were done eating and deciding about the bill, Jane said," Well, I have Keith's credit card. I think it is ono him." Thanks, brother Keith. :) Cool time in Madison. Not so cool for Denny as he traveled across Kansas in 107 degree weather. UFFTA!
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
