Stayed in bed (cot) until 8:30. Showered, ate toast, packed, and to church by 10:15, Nice Father's day service. Then to the Art Fair on Snake Alley. We had a pork loin sandwich there and I left for home about 1:30. It was so great to spend time with the newly weds. I felt pampered. Got home about 7:30. (I stopped at Pella for gas and Carroll for Walmart run.) Long ride, but I had such a great time with Karen and Luke. At home Denny had been putting new windows in the bunk house. Then they were working on leveling off the pool that Lozier's had given Jensens. The pool is 16 feet diameter, 4 feet deep and holds 8,000 gallons of water. It will take a while to fill it up. Missy had the job of making sure the floor of the pool didn't have wrinkles in it and the side supporting poles were "pushed out".
Bitty, the cat has quite a relationship with the vacuum. Interesting. It was fun to watch "Linda" work on the carpet through out the apartment. She vacuums every day at 11 am and then "kennels" up.
For over 50 years my mom, Bernice Newhouse, kept a journal, usually in spiral notebooks with the year written on the outside. Mom died in April 2008. In December 2008 my son, Luke, tried to get me into the 21st century with a blog site. This is kind of in remembrance of Mom and an update for my kids of my day to day life. Nothing exciting or noteworthy...I'm just thankful to God for all He has given me. What a great Lord we have.
